The story on Alexander Isak and Liverpool has not changed yet, even with no new update in the past day. Alexander Isak still remains Liverpool's prime target this summer as they are pushing to seal the deal with Newcastle as soon as possible, but everything depends on the Megpies as they are not ready to let Isak leave until they have a replacement for the striker position because as it stands now if Isak leaves Newcastle United this summer the Megpies will be left without a striker in the squad.

Newcastle United are in active talks with Benjamin Sesko as they are eager to sign the striker from Leipzig. The asking price for Benjamin Sesko is around 80 million euros, and Newcastle United are ready to pay the fee immediately if they get the green light from Sesko, as the player is yet to make a decision. Newcastle United is not the only club interested in signing Sesko, as Manchester United is also in the race. Manchester United is in direct talks with Sesko's agent to convince the player to join the club this summer.

Manchester United are keen on getting a striker before the season begins as it was their priority when the summer window began last month. Manchester United was linked with Viktor Gyökeres, but nothing advanced as the Swedish striker was only listening to Arsenal as it was his dream move since he decided to leave Sporting CP. Viktor Gyökeres' agent had to lose out on his commission to make the deal with Arsenal a reality, which just shows how keen Gyökeres was on Arsenal.

There were rumours that Manchester United was linked as well to Victor Osimhen, but nothing happened on that side, as Victor Osimhen is now a Galatasaray player. There is no top striker available on the market anymore, and this could be Manchester United and Newcastle's last chance to sign a striker this summer. This is already a bidding war, and the decision is up to Sesko to make his final decision; then, club-to-club talks will start to take place. Alexander Isak is still waiting for Liverpool, and the Reds have already dropped a bid of over 120 million euros for Isak, but it was rejected by the Megpies.

There is still a lot to this story, but one thing is clear, and that is that Isak will become a Liverpool player before the transfer window ends. It is just a matter of time before it happens. This is where I stop for now. There will be more updates to come this week, so stay tuned.
