To come back on the Decathlon points, I can confirm it works 🙂 easy €10 yearly!
I've connected both Garmin and Strava to my Decathlon account, something else I discovered that at both Strava and Garmin in settings - privacy you can make an invisible bubble around the area where you live to automatically hide your start and end point when it's near your house.
