Bale bags Hat-trick As Messi keeps Barcelona's hope high for Laliga title race.

So many occurrences went down in the European football space within the last 24 hours. Some of these things are quite funny and while some were extremely important. From the riot at Old Trafford, to Arsenal's win at Newcastle, to Manchester United vs Liverpool match being delayed and later postponed, to Tottenham slamming Sheffield United at Spurs alongside Messi Saving Barcelona at Valencia.

With all these occurrences, I personally would love to dwell more on Tottenham's and Barcelona's match with more details.

If there was any match I was so or too sure of yesterday, it was Tottenham's match against Sheffield United. I was so sure Tottenham would win and it won't even be a small or a narrow win and why was that?

Checking through Sheffield United's chances of escaping the relegation zone, I discovered that even with Sheffield winning all the EPL matches they've got, they still can't make it out of the relegation zone but for Tottenham on the other hand, unlike other big teams in the league, Tottenham had had so many dramas this season.

From Tottenham losing woefully in the UEL to them sacking Mourinho and now struggling to either make the top 4 or qualify for UEL. But there is this question I've been asking myself and I would love to ask the football lovers around here too.

Was sacking Mourinho really the way forward for Tottenham?

Or was Mourinho really the problem?

I personally do not see Mourinho as Tottenham's problem but I perceived Mourinho signing for Tottenham as the initial problem. Tottenham isn't a team that can deliver much of what Mourinho desires as a Manager, and not even in the EPL, Tottenham as a team can never satisfy a Manager like Mourinho or Mourinho himself!

Bale who had been caught off by Real Madrid in the very big space of football got himself and Tottenham's fans all over the world something to be happy about last night. Firstly, I would love to say, Bale has been quite great as far as this season is concerned but the fact that the likes of Kane and Son still out perform him in the team doesn't bring much of a big story or recognition of him the public anymore, but yesterday was totally different!

He was able to bag for himself a beautiful hat-trick, the goals were just set of goals that he's been known to be good with right from time. From his first goal which he had by flipping the ball over Ramsdale's (Sheffield United's Goalkeeper) head to the beautiful high strike from his left foot, and the final low strike from his right foot, all were just so interesting and intentional.

Bale now has 9 league goals for Tottenham this season alongside 1 goal in the FA Cup, and 1 goal in the Carling Cup. He also had 10 appearances and 3 goals in the UEL for Tottenham this season. He has total of 14 goals for Tottenham this season despite the fact that he doesn't get to have much of a playing time like many other big boys like him would love to have in their various teams.

Bale might have been an outcast for a while now, but he still remains a world class!

Messi Saves Barcelona!

As a fan of good football, it is quite difficult not to love Messi on the pitch! I am a huge fan of Cristiano Ronaldo but I don't see it as a competition because it's obvious Messi was born for the sake of soccer, but I personally find it easy to appreciate more the struggle Cristiano Ronaldo had to become a great footballer.

Following Barcelona's quest at Valencia yesterday, I almost concluded or I already concluded when Valencia opened the scoring sheet that Barcelona can only get a draw as the best result from that match because they had lost too many chances, and that in football often get worse when the opponent who hasn't had that much of a struggle secures a goal first, it could just be so difficult for the better team to bounce back.

After the 50th minute goal by Gabriel Paulista for Valencia, the pressure from Barcelona became the big deal in the match and Valencia just couldn't contain it and it led to a foul (Handball) in the box 18 which awarded Barcelona a Penalty. The same pressure, I believe made Messi lost the penalty, but multiple strikes after the penalty brought the ball back to Messi's foot and he did the right thing by having the ball at the back of the net!

Griezmann also had a giveaway goal for himself last night, and that made it his 12th league goal for Barcelona this season. There were just beautiful goals from the match last night which were the two last goals.

Messi's free kick was just so beautiful and sensational as always!

And the final goal of the match was that of Carlos Soler. The 24 years old Spanish midfielder had beautiful angular strike in the 83rd minute of the match. Ter Stegen couldn't help but to see the ball at the back of his own net.

Soler's goal was quite similar to that of Son yesterday against Sheffield United, only that there was so much confidence in Son's delivery than that of Soler's. Aside Bale being extraordinary against Sheffield United yesterday, Son was another beautiful personality to watch on the pitch yesterday. The Tottenham's squad played beautifully well, and Aurier was another creative personality in the match also, but to talk of Kane's hard luck, it was just so tough for him!

I love that screenshot of Bale... really captures his Athleticism...

Great hat trick for him yesterday, although I'd have preferred if Kane had gotten it for my Fantasy Football team!

wow!
I finally found someone who does FPL around here. Funny how I do not have any Tottenham player in my FPL squad. I used to have Son and Kane when their duo effect was quite slick and powerful but not anymore.

Tottenham as a team can never satisfy a Manager like Mourinho or Mourinho himself!

In that case, Roma did a big mistake when signing Mourinho. Roma is a small team and I don't think I have ever seen it playing an Europa League final, much less a Champions League final. It is clear Roma cannot compete to win the Serie A. So I think Mourinho is simply getting less ambitious as he has gotten older.

Regarding Bale, it is clear he feels much more comfortable in Tottenham. I think the best for him would be to continue playing in that team.

Instead of saying Mourinho's age is to be questioned, I think it is rather fair to consider the fact that his play pattern has been studied and understood well enough in the European space and I think Simeon of Atletico Madrid is also facing the same issues. And for Bale, to be sincere, with his experiences and impacts in Real Madrid over the few years, I personally feel he's bigger that Tottenham also even with his age, he could still get better offer in some bigger teams.
