Eric Bailly won Manchester United's Man of the Match in New Year Day.

The match between Manchester United and Aston Villa as Old Trafford last night on New Year's Day was very much intense and for once it thought the match would be the first draw of the year in the EPL but Bruno's penalty saved the day for Manchester United!

I was chanced to see the match from the beginning till end and I can say, they really played fine. The formation Ole used yesterday was quite mindful, he invested so much strength and experience in the midfield, I think he has realized his attack isn't that heavy has it ought to, so, making his midfield that heavy was really a smart move.

Aston Villa is a team currently known for her heavy attacks but luckily for United, the supports from the double 4 that played yesterday really swallowed many of Aston Villa's attackers, and funny enough, United Midfield wasn't just so heavy last night but very much creative too, Pogba played just like it has always been expected of him.

Bruno Fernandes like always didn't disappoint last night, he played wonderfully well, and watching the match I was only hoping he and Pogba could just have more Cavani last night but that was far from possibility since Martial and Rashford are not just a potential number 9!

Grealish was another talent watched last night, I've seen him in some couple of matches, and believe me, I have never seen one where he wasn't committed, he's just so swift with his movements and decides quite fast often time. I learnt Manchester United are still leaning of the train to bring him down to United, and that was really be a great plus for the team as the 25 years old midfielder is really dynamic and yet a great asset to any football club.

Of all performances last night, if one doesn't watch the whole 90mins, one might find it difficult to pay homage to Eric Bailly since he wasn't involved in any goal but then, he was just a good rock at United's defense last night. He won some beautiful tackles and even blocked a potential last minutes goal from Davis. Eric Bailly can be quite offensive but he's as good as Benching Lindelof and Maguire for him to play.

Thanks for Reading!
