Tottenham leads the way to Carabao Cup Final.
It wasn't really a tough thing to predict Tottenham at the final before the match last night. It was a game with some level of assurance that Tottenham would definitely qualify if not fumble.
The match happens to be the first I had seen where Tottenham's midfielders were all work with good touches and finishing. The likes of Ndombele and Sissoko gave some final passes during the match last night that really got me asking where they've been keeping those abilities. It was really beautiful in the midfield for Tottenham last night.
Aside the fact that Brentford as a team is from a lower division, the played Tottenham all out and that kind of punished them with too many defensive errors that lead to too make heavy attacks form Tottenham which the Brentford goal keep had to save some.
Son who has been Tottenham's superman since the beginning of this season got himself another goal last night but from a very unusual experience. It's quite normal these days to see Son with a goal and Kane assisting the goal and vice versa but it story was quite different yesterday since the beautiful final pass came through for Ndombele.
Like I said earlier, Tottenham's midfielders were really active and with much accurate effects last night. Sissoko could have bagged himself another assist during the match and won my personal man of the match. He had this cross out within the box that lead to a very trick volley position for Son, and Brentford were quite lucky it wasn't a perfect volley! It's going to be a very tough Manchester Derby tonight as both teams are on the tough run of at least winning a trophy this season. Manchester United are currently cruising their best form and Manchester City isn't in bad form either so it seems like we'll be watching a very hot match tonight at the Old Trafford!
