Los #gamers y criptolovers seguramente recordarán la fiebre de hace un par de años con los NFT. Sabrán que todo empezó con aquel asunto de los criptogatos y fue evolucionando hasta llegar a los axies con sus apareamientos extraños en el metaverso. De allí quiero rescatar un número mágico que suele usarse en estos proyectos: 10.000

Emitir 10.000 NFT`S tiene mucho sentido por ser una cantidad SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely). Así fue con los archiconocidos Cryptopunks. Y lo es ahora con los Chibi Dinos.

¿Qué son los Chibi Dinos?

Son unos personajes con forma de dinosaurio que pertenecen a 10 equipos de basketball y representan a jugadores activos de la NBA. Poseen 262 características que se combinan de forma aleatoria para hacer que cada uno de ellos sea único. Estas características se detallan en NFTStats, Lucky Trader y Rarity Tools (encontrarás los enlaces al final de este artículo). Tienen que ver con el IQ, los ojos, la boca, el cabello, la cabeza, el tipo de dinosaurio, el vestuario, los accesorios y el fondo que aparece en la imagen.

Dicho de esta manera, parece un poco aburrido, así que voy a contarlo como lo dice el lore:

Érase una vez un planeta llamado Planet Hoop en cual unos alienígenas vivían felices y contentos practicando una religión universal: el basketball. Todas sus vidas giran en torno a este deporte. Cada partido era considerado un ritual sagrado. Después de un incidente catastrófico causado por una nave misteriosa, muchas herramientas útiles quedaron dispersas por el planeta y ahora los Chibis las buscan para mejor su rendimiento en su deporte favorito. Su objetivo es convertirse en Chibis legendarios.

Y colorin colorado, este cuento no se ha acabado porque ahora los Chibis están en nuestro planeta con sus jerseys de colores con un nombre y un número impreso en la espalda que representa su lugar de origen en el Chibiverso.

¿Cómo funciona el Chibiverso?

Cada Chibi pertenece a un equipo liderado por un jugador de la NBA o la NCAA. Los capitanes son los siguientes:

1. RJ Hampton (Orlando Magic).
2. Michael Carter-Williams (Orlando Magic).
3. Josh Hart (New Orleans Pelicans).
4. Kendrick Perkins (ESPN basketball analyst).
5. Quinn Cook (Golden State Warriors).
6. Kendrick Nunn (LA Lakers).
7. Shareef O’Neal (LSU Tigers).
8. Brandon Clarke (Memphis Grizzlies).
9. De’Aaron Fox (Sacramento Kings).
10. Gary Harris (Denver Nuggets).

Los basketbolistas PJ Washington y Terance Mann son los embajadores de este juego. Asimismo, tienen convenios con otros juegos como Galaxy Fight Club, Pixels y Antebellum.

Todo el desarrollo del Chibiverso se hará conjuntamente con Infinite World, de manera que en el futuro los Chibis podrán participar en otros juegos y generar más ganancias para sus propietarios.

A diferencia de muchos de estos activos no fungibles, estos pequeños dinosaurios si tienen utilidad para los holders. Desde el inicio de la temporada 2022-2023 de la NBA pueden usarse para aumentar las ganancias en el Primal Pick’em, una competencia semanal en la cual los jugadores reciben hasta tres tickets diarios para hacer predicciones sobre un partido de la NBA.

Se hace una trivia de 10 preguntas sobre la perfomance de los equipos o determinados jugadores en aspectos como los puntos, los rebotes, robos o bloqueos. La forma de responder es por medio de selección simple. Cada respuesta acertada te da una cantidad de puntos que se suma al final del partido y en función de eso tendrás una posición en la tabla de posiciones (leaderboard).

Se trata de una competencia free to play en la cual cualquiera de nosotros puede registrarse y ganar el token $HOOP, el cual es el token de gobernanza y a la vez es la moneda de recompensa de este sistema de apuestas gratuitas y está listado en Coingecko. También encuentras el token en los exchanges Houbi, Binance, Mexc, Bybit.

El token puede ser utilizado como un token de utilidad en la tienda del juego para obtener materiales o herramientas (gear) para los dinosaurios así como algunos detalles para mejorar la cuenta visualmente. Lo que ven aquí es el primer gift para los nuevos jugadores, solo se puede elegir uno al mes.

Algunos de estos recursos, solo están disponibles para los jugadores más avanzados. Otra opción es hacer stacking en PancakeSwap con un APY que puede llegar al 90% si se dejan almacenados durante 90 días.

¿Cómo jugar en Chibi Dinos?

Las “temporadas” comienzan cada lunes. Los creadores (el serial entrepreneur Sean Kelly conjuntamente con la empresa GameOn que es la empresa encargada de la gamificación de la experiencia de juego)han dividido a los jugadores en 10 divisiones, en las cuales debemos ir avanzando para obtener recompensas.

Se comienza en 10ª División y las recompensas se obtienen a partir de la 8ª.

En esta tabla se visualiza claramente cuál es la distribución de los tokens según las posiciones.

Al inicio de la temporada anunciaron que semanalmente se destinarán 200.000 HOOP para los premios, lo cual al precio actual de 0.05$ equivale a unos 1000$. Si se analiza la evolución del token desde su lanzamiente, se puede notar que se ha mantenido estable (ver en IcoHolder).

Al registrarme esta semana, pude notar que la décima división hay 1780 participantes. Se premia a los 5 mejores en cada partido. Como todos reciben un máximo de tres tickets, todos estarán compitiendo en un promedio de 20 partidos semanales si juegan todos los días.

Por otra parte, si consideramos que actualmente hay 2792 holders únicos del NFT, lo más probable es que la cantidad total de jugadores sea menor a 5000 jugadores, una cantidad razonable si la comparas con los 50.000 de Sorare NBA, donde la probabilidad de ganar es menor y además no te premia con criptomonedas sino con cartas que pueden tener valor monetario solo si juegas en las ligas de pago.

Los HOOP se distribuyen de esta manera según la división:

• Div 8: 3000 HOOP
• Div 7: 6000 HOOP
• Div 6: 11000 HOOP
• Div 5: 17000 HOOP
• Div 4: 28000 HOOP
• Div 3: 34000 HOOP
• Div 2: 45000 HOOP
• Div 1: 56000 HOOP

Adicionalmente, los holders del NFT obtienen mayor recompensa en función de la cantidad de Dinos que poseen. Esta es la tabla con los multiplicadores:

• 10 Dinos: 1.5x
• 20 Dinos: 1.75x

Los holders también participan en sorteos para ganar tickets de partidos en vivo de la NBA.

Gamers and crypto-lovers will surely remember the NFT fever of a couple of years ago. You will know that it all started with that cryptogator thing and evolved to the axies with their strange mating in the metaverse. From there I want to rescue a magic number that is often used in these projects: 10.000.
Issuing 10.000 NFT`S makes a lot of sense because it is a SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely) number. This was the case with the well-known Cryptopunks. And it is now with the Chibi Dinos.

What are Chibi Dinos?

They are dinosaur-shaped characters that belong to 10 basketball teams and represent active NBA players. They have 262 characteristics that are randomly combined to make each of them unique.
These characteristics are detailed in NFTStats. They have to do with IQ, eyes, mouth, hair, head, type of dinosaur, wardrobe, accessories and the background that appears in the image.

Once upon a time there was a planet called Planet Hoop on which aliens lived happily and contentedly practising a universal religion: basketball. All their lives revolved around this sport. Every game was considered a sacred ritual. After a catastrophic incident caused by a mysterious ship, many useful tools were left scattered around the planet and now the Chibis are looking for them to improve their performance in their favourite sport. Their goal is to become legendary Chibis.

This tale is not over because now the Chibis are on our planet with their coloured jerseys with a name and a number printed on the back representing their place of origin in the Chibiverse.

How does the Chibiverse work?

Each Chibi belongs to a team led by an NBA or NCAA player. The captains are as follows:

1. RJ Hampton (Orlando Magic).

3. Josh Hart (New Orleans Pelicans).
4. Kendrick Perkins (ESPN basketball analyst).
5. Quinn Cook (Golden State Warriors).

7. Shareef O’Neal (LSU Tigers and son of Hall-Of-Famer Shaquille O’Neal).
8. Brandon Clarke (Memphis Grizzlies).
9. De’Aaron Fox (Sacramento Kings).
10. Gary Harris (Denver Nuggets).

Basketball players PJ Washington and Terance Mann are the ambassadors of this game. They also have partnerships with other games such as Galaxy Fight Club, Pixels and Antebellum. All development of the Chibiverse will be done in conjunction with Infinite World, so that in the future the Chibis will be able to participate in other games and generate more revenue for their owners.

How to play in Chibi Dinos?

The "seasons" start every Monday. The creators (serial entrepreneur Sean Kelly in conjunction with the company GameOn which provides all the statistics for the game) have divided the players into 10 divisions, which we must progress through to earn rewards.

You start in the 10th division and the rewards are obtained from the 8th division onwards. This table shows it clearly. At the beginning of the season they announced that 200,000 HOOP will be allocated weekly for the rewards, which at the current price of 0.05$ is equivalent to about 1000$. If you look at the evolution of the token since its launch, you can see that it has remained stable (see IcoHolder).

When I registered this week, I noticed that in the 10th division there are 1780 participants. Prizes are awarded to the top 5 in each match. On the other hand, if we consider that there are currently 2792 unique NFT holders, the total amount of players is most likely less than 5000 players, a reasonable amount if you compare it to the 50,000 of Sorare NBA, which does not reward you with cryptocurrencies but with cards that can have monetary value only if you play in the paying leagues.

The HOOPs are distributed in this way according to the division:
