No doubt, Sports in recent times has proven to be one of the reason for peace in some countries. Even from childhood while growing up I will fight with my friends quarrel, and most times I will not even be in talking terms with them but I realized that ones the ball has been brought the unity will be back again I will forget I ever had a problem with someone and play the game with joy.

Even in my secondary school days I remembered a time when senior girls in my school were always fighting with the ones in the junior section for most times the reason that they are not properly given the respect they deserve from the junior student, the school authorities had to set up a football match between senior girls and junior girls, I was shocked that it really helped the girls get together again, after the match no more fighting.

I really appreciates the NFL for adequate structuring or setting of national football competitions, but it happens after every 4 years. During that period you see how most especially in my country Nigeria we all seems to forget about poor government, poverty, and all the hardship we pass through and make sure we support our super eagle team.

During the last world cup match played I could remember how a man brought out his flat screened television and mount outside his house for the neighborhood that does not have access to a cable, be able to watch the games. How interesting that is. Some people even after getting the cable at home will still go out to join the other citizens in watching the game in a betting shop or a restaurant.

Today we see a Chinese man playing for a team in England and also a Nigerian playing for a team in china, all this is what brings unity in the society, come what may sport is seen as one main reason they is unity in the world today.
