ARTETA THE GENIUS...but
Life Lesson:
It's scary the kind of players in Manchester City's ranks, yet Arteta's men lead the pack. That's a coach in his early 40s, that's young!
The EPL is done and dusted(whether people like it or not) and Arsenal will be champions, plus they can win 3 other titles this season.
Let me not go into the details of Arteta-ball. It's pure genius!
However, however, Arteta also reminds me of the wise saying that, "talent is not everything". How?
Well you need to think back:
When he initially came, he never trusted his bench much, it's normal for you to see Rob Holding come in for an attacker, as a sub to see out matches, whereas there were midfield options on the bench.
You recall when the Harvetz experiment kept failing? The issue isn't that it failed, but that Arteta kept flogging a dead horse. Xhaka left a gaping hole in midfield when he left and Arteta turned to Harvetz(an expensive buy from Chelsea). It failed miserably, yet Arteta kept using him.
Before then, there was the Gabriel Jesus problem. He just wasn't the real deal as a number 9, but Arteta won't listen. He's a player Arteta brought in from Man City.

Yesterday, Lewis-Skelly was set to come in and Hincapie already started hurrying to leave the pitch, but he was stopped, alas, it was Gyokeres that went off instead. This is an example of the new Arteta!
Hincapie was reacting to what used to be expected of Arteta(Hincapie was right), it's just that Arteta has changed suddenly again now.
Arteta is genius, but you can be genius and yet still have character flaws that can corrupt the integrity of your craft.
For the flaws were:
- Unhealthy stubbornness: that he even felt players shud not be rested.
- Undue Favoritism: his terrible attachment to some players, that they cud do no wrong in his eyes.
Even this season, the title could have been over as a contest by now, if not for the presence of these flaws above.
Last season, no team had draws more than Arsenal, it's because same flaws. And you look all the way back, Artete could have won the EPL at least twice consecutively, if not for these same flaws.
Talent is not everything. His genius is what I liken to talent. Genius can't stand alone, you need a balanced character and mindset for it to blossom.
Slowly and steadily Arteta keeps working on his flaws and now he's certainly far from the guy they employed about 6yrs ago. The football world should fear.
🙈BTW maybe Kompany is getting quick success because he's more pliable then Arteta was
