'BYE BYE AUBAMEYANG'

He is the 22 year old Swedish sensation, Alexander Isak, standing at an imposing 6ft 4in. He started his professional career in 2016 and currently plays for Real Sociedad, where he paints Spain with his skills, speed, fluidity and goals. Arsenal are reportedly close to signing Isak after Real Sociedad banned him from joining Barcelona.

According to El Nacional,Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be replaced by Isak this month.following an impressive spell in Spain.

Isak signed for Sociedad from Borussia Dortmund in 2019, and has gone to be a main stay in the team, scoring 38 goals in 101 games – including 17 goals last season.

It’s now believed Isak is set to leave Sociedad and that Arsenal is his most likely new home. Real Sociedad has just slipped out of the Champions League zone they had occupied for several weeks this season in the La Liga table and that could further help him look outside.

It is true that Barcelona were reportedly extremely interested in Isak following Xavi’s return as manager, especially with the sad retirement of Sergio Aguero from football altogether. But reports have it that Sociedad has blocked Isak from any negotiations with Barca. It's an often you used smart move– "Never strengthen a direct rival".

So this leaves the door open to Arsenal, as it appears they have won the race for his highly coveted signature.

Currently, Captain Aubameyang has been left out the squad by Mikel Arteta after a disciplinary failing. He has also now been giving permission by Arsenal to join Gabon, his home country as they are deep in preparation for the African Cup of Nations which begins January 9. Thus he may just have played his final game for the club with his last appearance in early December.

Also it has been an open secret that Alexandre Lacazette is set to exit the club on a free transfer, as his contract expires at the end of this season, with there being no effort by Lacazette to renew it.

So Isak is now poised to become Arsenal’s new number nine. It also gels with a certain theme of Arteta's reign, talking about the kind of age he likes his players to be.
Don't forget Odegaard teamed up with Isak to devastating effect in the 2019/20 season, when he was on loan from Madrid. Indeed I think, he will be a brilliant addition to this budding Arsenal side.

I like your interest in football, great to see you share this with us! I have noticed you are using the #teamuk tag, this tag is for those in the team UK, my friend.

Hello, I appreciate your commendation.🙂
I confess that I like to stay within the confines of having only a decent interest, avoiding fanaticism.
Well I'm an ardent supporter of "The Gunners" of Arsenal and hail from a country colonised by the UK.

I was wondering why you didn't say what team UK was about. Some of us(like me) are quite new in Hive, so obviously we should be getting more information than what you volunteered.

So having not found much on your note, I took a guess that "team UK" might be a community here, so I searched for it via the community search bar, lo and behold there it was!🙂

Reading through I understand that I am not eligible to use the tag. However, now that I know such a place exists,I can't keep my mouth shut, informing friends in the UK or those eligible.

One way or the other you have achieved something with your note, init? Hehe.
Thanks @rimicane for finding time to visit my post.

Best regards.

I use to always buy this guy as a 16 year old back in the older Football Managers. Cannot wait to see this guy I think he'll be a gun as long as he can keep up with the physicality of the league. He's also been marked as Sweden's next Ibra..if that's even possible

Yeah he's been such a promising fella, that even games reflect same.
He's long be touted as the next Ibra, well at least he keeps improving all round.
He'll be a great buy for the Gunners. I like to say for the EPL,if you are not so physically strong,be very skillful or quick. Isak is really skilful and has pace. I think physicality won't be an issue for him. It was the fear people had for Odegaard, but he trumped it with his quick brain. Isak had that intelligence too.

Thanks @wolfgangsport for your visit here,I honour you.

Thanks @ogeewitty I enjoy reading your stuff. Can't wait to see if Isak's transfer goes through. He's only 22 so it's going to be some big money. I always though that Borussia didn't get much for Isak. Perhaps football manager and his future potential inflated the price I thought he was worth but it's look like those predictions were right

Thanks sir @wolfgangsport ,I try to learn from writing gurus like you.😉

I think so too on Borussia. Yeah those predictions are proving right now and fittingly so too because this boy has always had that spark of genius.

I understand that,it's football. See the 24year old,Nigerian striker,Umar Sadiq(same height as Isak). He is an Olympic bronze medalist with Nigeria in 2016,where he was a mainstay in that team, featuring for all their six matches. He landed Scotland as Rangers got him on loan, but Gerrard more or less rubbished him,he's now a star in Spain banging in goals at will. He plays for Almeria in the Spanish second division, his club leads the log with 3 points with a game in hand. He has scored a whopping 31 goals in two seasons for them.

Or Sebastian Haller, another over 6ft guy,who West Ham was happy to sell to Ajax. He has been something else in Holland(leading the scorers chart now) and in the Champions league too – breaking record after record and equalling a record set by Cristiano, by scoring in all 6 matches of the group stage.

Thanks for stopping by.

Haller is a tank but thanks for letting me know about Umar Sadiq. Didn't know about it and that's unfortunate he didn't do well at Rangers. I love Rangers. That's the thing with Gerrard. Yes, he may have been a tactical magician with Rangers but if he can't pick young talent at Villa, he may be a flop.

Check this out bro which I just posted. Hopefully some top tips for you to make things even easier.

My pleasure, well I hope Stevy G does well. I never was convinced about his joining Villa so quickly. Please view this post: https://peakd.com/hive-101690/@ogeewitty/who-has-gerrards-phone-number

I was excited for Rangers when they chose Van Bronckhorst because I knew his tactical depth. You can see how they have advanced in Europe, something Gerrard never managed to do.

Thanks for inviting me to your new post. I'm actually away on vacation/retreat and can't do much now,but will go through your useful tips better when I return back to base.
Please how do you guys provide textual link, like the one you have there in blue("Check this out bro").

If the source of the story is El Nacional then I would take it with a massive pinch of salt!
