MANCHESTER UNITED THE LAUGHING STOCK

Hello everyone, let me start with a "prophecy" I made—

"However, look I do unsolicited favours, you can learn from the Arsenal and not bow your head. Liverpool has since bought the German midfield maestro[Wirtz], Chelsea bought Pedro et al, Sunderland Adingra, Wolves Arias and so on. Hey, the season hasn't started!

"You made a terrific buy with Cunha and forget about all the delays, Mbeumo will eventually come in. Mhen that's a solid pair coming in, game changers! Physical players who don't need much time to adapt to anything.

"If it's Chelsea's Jackson you guys eventually buy, look, no striker in England and perhaps the whole world has the pace of Jackson. You might smirk and quip that Jackson hasn't been impressive in his core duty– scoring goals. I agree, but he was better before he came to Chelsea with it's pressure, a change of scenerio could revitalise him bro.

"Yet don't forget that the pair I mentioned before are free scoring players. Infact Mbeumo scored more than Chelsea's Pedro last season, so it's not like you will lack goals. Liverpool's goals came mostly from the wingers, Nunez the striker wasn't doing enough and that's why he will leave Liverpool this summer.

"So yeah be upbeat! The coach has not lost his quality, which he showed in Sporting, he needs a pre-season. A lot of people don't see this and they think Man U is in for a rough season."

The above was the note I sent to a Manchester United fan at least 2 weeks ago. Ofcourse today Mbeumo has been signed and two days ago United played West Ham in a pre-season friendly, beat them 2–1.

"Well we beat West Ham, but you expect us to beat West Ham, so fingers crossed." – This is the kind response a lot of United fans gave concerning that match. That's the problem I have with fans, I really don't like to hear fans talk. I see them more like the root word, from which the name "fan" was derived– fanatics. Typically they don't see real football clearly, just emotions.

I watched the match and saw something else. The correct report is that this is looking more like the Sporting Lisbon, Ruben Amorim managed. This is a new United. No one can deny this! Well except fans.

Look at the intelligent tenacious pressing, the passing, the composure on the ball(great composure). United substituted 11 players at thesame time in the 2nd half, yet they maintained THESAME FIRE– this doesn't happen often, if truth be told.

This is no hypes, just saying things as they are. It was not just about Bruno Fernandes, who was Bruno as usual, it was the beauty of Cunha. You needed to see him glide across the pitch with danger as you would expect. Such a dangerous player who showed, like I said in that "prophecy",that he doesn't need time to adapt to anything. He played like he's not new to United.

You watch this team and you see why Amorim needed a pre-season! It's more like a machine now. All these and Mbeumo has not resumed!

A solid striker will still be bought also.

So an even better United is brewing. It's a United that is playing naturally(and intentionally), which means you can be sure they would keep producing same. It's nothing to keep fingers crossed about. The implication is that this new style of play is now their second nature.

It's all over the news, a massive number of people including United fans mocking Andre Onana, the United goalie for his goalkeeping errors, mocking United's lean purse due to financial mismanagement, infact many say they will be relegated next season. Just yesterday a Tottenham fan said he will be "smiling in the background" as he watches United's ship sink.

Those who consider United as a laughing stock, will be in for a rude shock. I'm ready to quit writing for a season if it doesn't happen.
