Hi bro, it's been a while.

The Italian team brings to the table it's winning mentality, they always have a fight about them(you can't but notice),whether they exit in the group stages or reach the finals(being five-time champions).

Whilst the Nigerian team comes with a uniquely attractive brand of football-they are the Brazil of Africa in this regard– and a followership no African team can dare come near to.

Now, I think the context of my blog on this is clearer now. Thanks for coming.

Cheers

Well, that uniquely attractive brand of football was last seen in its full flow back in 1998. Since then, it's been disappointing performances over and over from those dudes.

With the Italians you get a master class in tactical defending and doggedness, so they're highly missed.

Even the good old "Joga Bonito",the Brazilian football way of beauty, style, and individual accomplishment has since been lost. They have found other ways to win. However,we still see fragments of the old way because, it's actually an inborn thing with them.

Similarly,Nigeria has it's way, as I have described, and it has always been there whether it was at peak moments like the USA'94 World Cup or low moments like the Korea 2002 World Cup and the rest. Performance is different from the style of a team, that's why I said Italy comes with a known template whether their overall performance is impressive or not.
Also fan base is no trivial matter at any World Cup.Nigeria has enviable proportions of that.

So in their own ways, these two teams were missed.

Thanks for coming bro.

Their is nothing to miss about a bunch of dudes who always put up disappointing performances on the grandest stage. Their absence saved me the political propaganda and surefire heartache that always follows them around. Funny lots, those Super Chickens!

"saved me" you said. Indeed it's your own opinion you've just given.
I maintain mine.
Thanks man

We live in an opinionated world, bro. Also, football is a game of opinions and believes. Mine doesn't have to be yours and vice versa. I can only hope those guys clean up their acts and get back stronger.
Cheers. ✌
