THE MENTALITY FAUX

What I notice each passing day is that people are increasingly becoming mute over Arsenal. No, let me put it more clearly, Arsenal is silencing a lot of people.

Prominent amongst those people are those who present the issue of Arsenal's lack of a strong mentality that can sustain a title rum. They ofcourse give instances of Arsenal crumbling consistently for years. I will often reply to them asking if Manchester City got knocked out of the Champions league this season because they lacked a steel mentality. They didn't have ab answer.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria, they didn't win the AFCON because the boys were mentally deficient? They couldn't give an answer still.

City improved in January, and before that, bought big players in the summer, whilst a PSG hardly signed a pin last summer and January. But today, OFCOURSE PSG is the better team.

So I told them back in April that, Arsenal's challenge is just about the coach and old bad habits, nothing to do with pressure or lack of mentality of the boys.

One even said Manchester City strengthened in January, but Arsenal was too laid back in the market. I replied that City's January buys shouldn't count for anything as far as Arsenal is concerned, it's just Arteta and his sentiments that was the challenge.

But ofcourse, I know Arteta, that loss to Manchester City made me smile. I saw an Arteta who was willing to eschew sentiments. I actually liked the football Arsenal played in that loss.

I like to ask such fault finders,⁩ isn't this last match versus Westham an example of the resilience and mentality of the Arsenal boys?

I mean, a coach that should be helping his players suddenly invented a way to make life difficult for them with his subs, yet the players found a way, with grit, to pull through.

I am sure if it was a loss or draw, many will say, "I told you, it's pressure, Arsenal players can't handle pressure."🙂

It's all silence these days, naysayers can't talk much anymore.
