The Italian team conceded the first goal, but then managed to hold off the English and scored in the second half. The match consisted mainly of a solid penalty shootout, where the Italians performed better, thus winning the European Championship for the second time in history.
The star of the match was Italian defender Leonardo Bonucci, who scored the most important goal of the game with his accurate passes.
