Mourinho Regarded as one of the best managers in the world, i mean the self acclaimed special one, he's indeed special among coaches, many of us get to know Jose in his Fc PORTO days winning all domestic trophies and a champions league for the Portuguese club.
Before Jose's took over at PORTO, there has been trophy drought in Porto, Jose came in 2002 mid season and saved the sinking porto then and in 2002/03 season his first full season he won all the domestic trophies as promised and in 2003/04 season he delivered the champions again for porto. Jose's name keep spreading like a wildfire and his name was on every journalist list, infact his name became the household name. Due to huge success recorded at PORTO and with the transition at CHELSEA as roman empire began in london, Chelsea brought in the best manager in europe then in Jose Mourinho, appointed june 2004, mourinho then called himself the 'special one' i guess the english media just getting used to the big man, his success speaks for him, people begin to fall in love with chelsea and English football gained more fans. In his first season Mourinho delivered some domestic trophies for chelsea,infact winning the league in style, setting many records on the road to winning the premier league,15 most away win in a season, 9 goals conceded away, the fewest in english top flight,most win with 29 games, and conceded just 15 goals the whole season.
This is a great feet achieved by a manager who's just coming from another league, got eliminated in the semi finals of the champions league against liverpool in his season and never won the champions league with chelsea, mourinho made major signings at chelsea, bringing his own kind of players, players he felt can play well to his tactics

He signed players like paul pogba,Eric bailly, zlatan Ibrahimovich. Jose could not win united the premier league title nlr the champions league, had a row with oaul pogba, and after spending about $400million on player recruit, he was later sacked.
Since his managerial career,Jose Mourinho has never spent 4 years with a team, there is this third year syndrome he has, is either he was asked or live after 2 years with a team, and that is where i questioned his man management ability, for where he has coached before, he always had issues with the top players at the team, especially when he is not getting the results. After being sacked by Manchester united no top team in Europe top 5 league wanted him, even at the point PSG,Juventus,Bayern Munich and even real madrid were all looking for coaches, none of these teams look in jose direction, perhaps they feel jose doesnt have this long term plan for a team, neither does he give time for younger players to develop, jose will buy and continue to spend on new players rather than grooming the homegrown, this was evident at his time in Chelsea, the likes of kevin de bruyne, lukaku and even Mo Sallah were not given enough time and chance to prove themselves under Mourinho.
Mourinho claimed he got offers from Asia and America to come and coach but hes only focused on coaching in Europe top 5 league.
In November 2019 Mourinho signed for Tottenham as a successor to Mauricio pochetino. His appointments were widely criticized by both spurs fans and the press.
I think the reason spurs made the decision is to compete for the trophies, not taking away anything from jose, hes a winner, one who will win at all cost, prior before sacking Mauricio pochetino spurs played at the champions league final losing to liverpool, that's the kind of performance they want, playing at the finals and possibly winning, and most importantly to keep their top players harry kane,son,lloris and others happy is to win trophies,like they don't want what happen to Christian ericsson to happen with their top stars.

Seems thats not working out and looks like jose is running out of ideas, his pattern has become obsolete and needs to think deep as to savage his career and that of spurs career. Knowing fully well they need trophies to be able to convince their top stars to stay.
