Nothing Positive About United.

There is nothing positive about this United side that was completely swept aside by a dominant City side at Old Trafford on a derby day. United fans would have been used to seeing their team fail but after the results against Tottenham and Atalanta, you would expect them to play with more purpose and urgency but it wasn't meant to be as they faltered yet again without any positive to take from the game.

An own goal from Eric Bailly and a great awareness goal from Bernado Silva saw City win against their city rivals in the early kick-off of the day. It was a well-deserved victory for City and United can not complain about anything because they gave nothing to the game. It was complete dominance from start to finish for City.

United won a freekick on the left side of the pitch after Gabriel Jesus brought down Cristiano Ronaldo. The freekick was delivered perfectly into the box and Maguire's run was good but not his header as the ball flew off target in the 5th minute.

2 minutes after, Walker delivered a lovely cross into the box from the right-hand side that was met by Gundogan who shockingly flashed his effort across the face of the goal rather than on target. It was cleared but it fell to Cancelo and his inch-perfect cross into the box was bundled into the net by Eric Bailly, who is having his taste of starting a game after being out for so long but produced brilliantly against Atalanta midweek. United went behind at home to an own goal in the 7th minute of this Manchester derby.

Manchester United breathed life into their terrible showing in the 26th minute after Shaw's inviting ball into the box was matched with a brilliant left-foot strike on the volley by Ronaldo but Ederson managed to get his strong hand on it. The rebound was unable to be gathered by Greenwood as the ball struck him and went out.

De Gea produced a double brilliant save in the 29th minute to keep United in the game after Foden broke on the left-hand side. He picked out De Bruyne whose shot was blocked by Shaw. The ball came to Gabriel Jesus and with the goal at his mercy, De Gea saved from his shot as well for a corner kick. Shortly after, Cancelo had a long-range strike just outside the box which De Gea got a hand on for another corner kick.

De Gea produced another double super save in the 33rd and 34th minute. He managed to prevent another own goal from Lindelof after he quickly reacted with his feet before he stopped another brilliant effort from De Bruyne from close range inside the box. United were hanging on by a thread thanks to De Gea. He made amazing saves to keep the scoreline still at 1-0. He saved another power shot from Cancelo and he was the saving grace for United.

City doubled their lead after Bernado Silva chose not to give up on the ball after delivery was sent into the box. Shaw gave up but Bernado didn't and he managed to get a touch on the ball after Cancelo's delivery into the box, to beat De Gea at his near post. For De Gea's heroics earlier in the game, he shouldn't be beaten at his near post like that.

City bombarded United as many would have expected due to the gulf in class as it's been obvious after United got thrashed by Liverpool. A lot needs to be done for this United side that boasts of amazing talents but with an average coach that couldn't bring the best out of them.

The tweak in formation wouldn't help this time and hasn't been helping the players either as there is a lack of direction on what game plan the team would be having before any game. It was a horrible showing for United fans as the players didn't live up to the hype and this might become the new normal for United if drastic action isn't taken.

Thank you for your time.

It was a very passive united vs an active City, I am practically tired of this team.

Everyone is sacking their coaches but ours is comfortable and sitting pretty and it's crazy how the press is busy blaming the players.

I am not sure how he is still in the job. Aston Villa have sacked their manager today after poor results.

Everyone is sacking except us.

Just imagine... Even Norwich sacked despite the team winning that same day... Not United. They needed a puppet and they have Ole.

I am tired already and I have lost all hope in this team. The team doesn't even have a pattern so how can the players even understand the game plan? Conte has gone to Tottenham now... Hopefully Conte will come to us at the end of the season hahahaha because this board won't sack Ole.

You aren't the only one that is tired, I practically only watch football these days because of my fantasy league.

Conte won't come oh, I am sure Ronaldo is regretting coming to us.

I really feel for Ronaldo... A proven winner with no one to match up to his mentality.

No one at all, we have a bunch of motivational speakers playing. I feel like they already type their apologies before coming to play.

Hahahaha that is what I attacked them on, on Twitter. They are quick to apologize than they are to play.

The result was expected and were lucky it was not a 6 nil drubbing. You cannot compare Atalanta and Tottenham to Manchester City. United fans are living in fantasy land if they think they can compete.

I totally agree and this team can't compete for anything... They are a disaster.
