PSG Dropped 2 Points.

RB Leipzig who has been struggling to win any game this season in the UEFA Champions League managed to snatch a point right at the death against PSG as PSG gave way for City to take the top spot in a tricky group.

PSG were without Lionel Messi and Wijnaldum stepped up to deliver the goods as he scored a brace to help his side after Nkunku already gave RB Leipzig the lead and afterwards, Szoboszlai scored a late goal to peg his side level. Still languishing at the bottom of the table, RB Leipzig only has 1 point in the group. The game ended 2-2 and at least, they gave their fans something to cheer about at the end of the final whistle.

RB Leipzig took the game to PSG so early on because they knew what's at stake and Andre Silva was given an early chance to give his side the lead but his effort was blocked off by Donnarumma before a goalmouth scramble involving Marquinhos and the goalkeeper.

RB Leipzig were all over the place and Andre Silva delivered an inviting cross into the box which former PSG player; Nkunku managed to head into the back of the net with a glancing header in the 8th minute. It was the kind of start they dreamed of with the hope of snatching the 3 points.

It wasn't the best of game for Andre Silva after he was brought down inside the box by Danilo in the 12th minute. He had the honours of extending his side's lead by giving them the perfect start but Donnarumma saved his penalty to keep the score at just 1-0.

PSG didn't want to take any chance and they stepped up in the 21st minute after Neymar found Mbappe on the left-hand side of the box and his low drive ball into the box was met by Wijnaldum who poked the ball into the back of the net to draw PSG level for his first goal for the club.

PSG weren't done and in the 38th minute, they got a corner kick that was delivered into the box. Marquinhos headed it into the path for Wijnaldum who guided the ball also into the back of the net. The linesman initially picked an offside but for the VAR check, the goal was given and PSG overturned the 1 goal deficit to lead 2-1.

Mbappe almost ran the whole length of the field after bursting with pace and going one on one with the goalkeeper despite having a defender on his trail. He managed to get his shot off but the goalkeeper was there to deny him in the 64th minute. With just seconds after, Donnarumma had to be on his best to push away a cross into the box by Nkunku while Marquinhos had to block the rebound from the shot of Angelino.

The shocking moment came for RB Leipzig in the 72nd minute after another exciting delivery into the box by Nkunku was fumbled by Szoboszlai despite the low drive ball perfectly coming to him, instead he guided the ball just off target.

PSG gave away a penalty in the 89th minute after Kimbempe jumped over Nkunku inside the box. The referee initially gave a corner kick but after a VAR review by him, he gave a penalty which Converted and this time beating Donnarumma to it. The game ended 2-2 and PSG stays second with City going top. RB Leipzig only managed a point in 4 games with 2 games left to go.
