Super Sub Origi Did It Again.

Wolves knew it won't be an easy game with Liverpool visiting at the Molineux but they were ready to give it a go. They have lost 9 times they faced Liverpool already and haven't won any game against Liverpool in 20 attempts. It was billed to be a tough match for Wolves especially with the free-scoring Liverpool who just dismantled Merseyside rival, Everton just a few days ago.

It was a game with chances for both sides and both teams should have won it but it wasn't meant to be for Wolves who had to surrender the draw for a loss after substitute, Origi came into the game and scored so late on to dent their resolve. With Manchester City yet to play and with Chelsea losing to West Ham, for the time being, Liverpool sits pretty at the top of the table.

Alexander Arnold should have done better after a volley pass from Jota found him in the box. On his days he would have smashed home the effort but he skied it this time around, in the 28th minute. Liverpool had another chance in the 32nd minute with Alexander Arnold turning provider for Jota this time around and Jota, despite his size, got a touch with his head on the ball but he couldn't steer his header goal-ward which was shocking especially from that kind of position.

Saiss brilliantly denied Salah in the box when all he needed to do was to tap the ball into the back of the net. Saiss took the ball off his feet before he could even strike it after a brilliant low drive pass into the box for Salah.

Saiss missed a golden chance in the 63rd minute to get Wolves ahead after a freekick delivery in the box found him. With a bit more time to his chance, he lifted the ball over the bar when he should have buried that chance to punish Liverpool who had been sloppy also.

Salah expertly played Mane in, in the 68th minute and despite his movement creating the chance for him, Mane was unable to get the ball past the goalkeeper as the goalkeeper quickly closed him down. This game was a game of half-chances here and there with no one really making good use of the chances they had. Anyone could have scored before now and it would have been deserved because it was an end to end game for both teams with Wolves particularly impressing especially Adama Traore.

Liverpool knew what's at stake especially with Chelsea losing to West Ham, they wanted to take the top spot and they started bombarding Wolverhampton Wanderers. Kilman denied substitute, Origi late on just as the goalkeeper expertly denied Mane right inside the box. Wolves held on and kept the pressure at bay with a fine defensive line.

The pressure eventually paid off as super-sub; Origi was picked out in the box by Salah and with a brilliant turn, he blasted the ball into the back of the net in the 94th minute, so late into the game that Wolves couldn't do anything about it.

It would look harsh on Wolves who held on for so long until 1 minute to the end of the game but it was just perfect for Liverpool who had it all to do to snatch the 3 points. A victory like this can be the sweetest and come May, let's see if this would be the moment that won them the title.
