Game Week 6 came with surprises and controversies as we have been used to in the Premier League this season. Results haven't been going the way everyone expected and it's as though a lot of teams haven't kicked into the rigour of the Premier League yet. A lot of teams are trying to gain an early advantage because it would help a lot during the course of the season.

After Game Week 6, we have seen a lot of teams part company with their coaches, most notably Thomas Tuchel and Brendan Rodgers. The reality is dawning on so many struggling teams and these clubs too want to nick things in the bud right early.

Everton v Liverpool.

This is a derby game that isn't shy of the headline. Salah is still not at his optimum best even though he did everything to get a late goal for his side. Liverpool's struggle this season is shocking barring the 9-0 thumping of Bournemouth that led to the sack of Bournemouth's coach. They haven't really hit the stride we have known them to have over the years and the earlier they start getting those points, the better else, if they lose too much ground, it would become more difficult especially knowing how tough the Premier League gets every week.

I'm surprised Everton managed to get a point off Liverpool because they have been struggling of late too. They play well but they still lacked that extra bite. It's evident since last season after they managed to beat relegation and with Richarlison gone to Tottenham, they are struggling for goals as well. I don't see Everton springing up any surprise this season though. They would be lucky to stay in the league by beating another relegation.

This game ended 0-0 but not without varying opinions as to why Coady's goal was ruled off for offside by the VAR.

Tottenham v Fulham.

I have to admit that Fulham keeps surprising me every week and particularly, Mitrovic. A lot has been said about the big man that he might not be able to reproduce his form in the Premier League and he has shown that he is a man that can be counted upon. He is always scoring even though he left it late against Tottenham after Hojbjerg and Harry Kane gave the host a two-goal cushion before he got one for his side.

Tottenham are proving to be a formidable force this season and I am not surprised because they recruited massively for this season especially because of their European commitment too. Tottenham would push for that top 4 yet again if they can manage to keep Kane fit. We haven't seen the best of Son yet but that's just a matter of time. A lot of players are yet to kick into full gear. The game ended 2-1.

Nottingham Forest v Bournemouth.

After the 9-0 thumping, Bournemouth knew they had to respond and they responded in a classy style. After going 2-0 down against Nottingham, they scored three goals to win the game much to the disappointment of Nottingham. I picked this game as a top pick because comeback games would always grab the highlight and Bournemouth did it with style. They were on the highlight after being disgraced by Liverpool, now, they made the headline for the right reasons after the game ended 2-3 in their favour. What a game!

Chelsea v West Ham.

As usual, Chelsea struggled in this game and could have ended up with just a single point after VAR cancelled Cornet's goal which I feel shouldn't have happened. I feel it was a legit goal with the goalkeeper making a meal of it and the standard of VAR keeps changing. Michail Antonio gave West Ham the lead before Chilwell brilliantly responded after coming off the bench and Havertz won it late into the game. Cornet scored after Mendy fumbled but VAR ruled the game for infringement on Mendy by Jack Bowen. Chelsea needed the win just as much as West Ham needed it since they are both still struggling for the right momentum this season. The game ended 2-1.

Brentford v Leeds United.

This is one game that Fantasy Premier League players who dropped Toney would always be angry about...well... I am one of them hahaha. Brentford hammered Leeds United by winning 5-2 and Toney scored a hattrick in the game.

Aston Villa v Manchester City.

I didn't see this one coming because I expected Manchester City to win this game comfortably but they met a worthy resilience from Aston Villa. They should have won this game if not for the referee's and the lineman's error, the goal would have won it by Coutinho. Haaland didn't fail to score as usual but Aston Villa were particularly wasteful too, to some extent. Manchester City got a run for their money and they settled for a point instead of 3 points but they could have lost it anyway.

Manchester United v Arsenal.

This is one of the surprises for me because I didn't expect Manchester United to win the game and also with that scoreline going by the unbeaten form of Arsenal. Arsenal were nullified and Manchester United showed they can be clinical. They dented Arsenal's unbeaten start to the season and it would have been a bit difficult had Martinelli's goal stood. Odegaard was charged with a foul on Eriksen shortly before Martinelli scored. This win lifted the mood of everyone in Manchester United's camp and Arsenal would need to go back to the drawing board. They are still top of the table but they would need to win games like this if they still want to stay there for a long time to come. The game ended 3-1.

In other news... Brighton thrashed Leicester City by 5-2, Newcastle and Crystal Palace played a goalless game and Wolverhampton Wanderers beat Southampton by 1-0.

Even after man u scored the first goal i was still having doubts, then Arsenal equalised i thought it's over. Man U didn't have much chance but make good use of the little they had, and in football, that matters a lot.

Even with the 1-0 and 2-1, I was worried... The 3-1 gave me comfort hahahaha. I'm glad we won. We didn't play well but we were clinical.

City played an excellent match, despite the match ending in a draw.. Gerrard's team gave a good reaction after his past bad matches...

I agree. Aston Villa gave a good account of themselves and could have won it.

When I was a teenager I was a big supporter of FC Barcelona. It was the Johan Cruyff's Dreem Teem time, when Guardiola debuted as a professional football player.
I think the Premier League is the best soccer competition right now. Spanish league doesn't have competence, it's designed to be win for Madrid or Barcelona.

Barcaaaaaaa. That's amazing. You are right, even with the TV rights and all, it favours Barcelona and Real Madrid more except they have changed it now. I love the Premier League the most too and they have quality too. Spanish league is more tactical which is what I also love about them but I would always prefer the Premier League.

Yes it was a beautiful day in the Premier League, as it never ceases to amaze us with its good soccer, I think the best game was the Arsenal who was defeated by M. United that although CR7 did not start and did not play had a good gesture to get excited by the goal of Brazilian Antony in his debut.

I enjoyed that game. Yes, Ronaldo came on as a sub but didn't score. I enjoyed the game too. I love the Premier League no doubt.

In my point of view, the Premier League is the best league in terms of competitiveness, as any team, even those at the bottom of the table, can surprise the top teams.
