What A Comeback! - Leicester City Capitulation.

What a game this was as Leicester City hosted Tottenham Hotspur in a match that should have been played before now but due to postponement on the grounds of Covid. Leicester City looked destined to win the game after escaping the first-half pressure from Tottenham but the game turned on the end as Tottenham scored 2 goals in 80 seconds to secure a famous 2-3 win away from home. Leicester City capitulated at the wrong time and they would feel hard done by and blame themselves for a long time.

Goals from the new boy; Daka and Maddison gave Leicester their 2 goals and Tottenham responded thanks to goals from Harry Kane and a double from Bergwijn secured the win for Tottenham and they still have 3 games at hand to play. If all goes right, they would be knocking West Ham off that top 4 spots.

Harry Kane came close early on in the game after his brilliant move and attempt was cleared off the line by Leicester City. He also rattled the crossbar with a thumping header from Harry Winks' corner.

It was all Tottenham's affair early on as Lucas also tested the goalkeeper from just outside the box but the goalkeeper was able to parry the effort to safety. Sanchez had another headed effort flash the side of the net from a tight angle to let Leicester City off the hook but Leicester City had the first laugh in the 24th minute after Ademola Lookman and Daka combined so well before the ball managed to come to Daka who beat Hugo Lloris at the near post to slot home the first goal of the game.

Leicester City kept trying their luck as Maddison also tried a shot from range hoping to catch Hugo Lloris napping but the goalkeeper was up to it. Tottenham tried to respond and Lucas Moura was found with a lovely pass but he couldn't get it past Schmeichel. The ball fell to Hojbjerg whose goal attempt was cleared off the line by Leicester defence to protect their lead.

It wasn't meant to take long and it didn't as Harry Kane restored parity for his side after leaving his marker for the dead and he perfectly picked out the bottom corner of the post as his effort went inside the net off the post in the 38th minute to make it 1-1.

Tanganga tried another long-range effort but it wasn't going to beat Schmeichel has he has proved to deal with all the long-range efforts but Leicester City on the other hand went into the lead yet again in the 76th minute after a clever touch pass from Barnes sets up Maddison who found the back of the net with ease.

The game looked destined for a win with Leicester City in pole position for that but Bergwijn had other ideas. In the 95th minute, Doherty was found in the box with a pinpoint pass. As he controlled the ball, he couldn't get the ball past the goalkeeper and the blocked effort managed to find Bergwijn inside the box. He wasted no time and he blasted the ball into the back of the net going for power rather than placement and it paid off to draw his side level on 2-2.

Bergwijn wasn't satisfied with a draw and he went one better in the 7th minute of added time to break the hearts of Leicester City players and fans alike. The stadium went wild after Harry Kane won the ball at the center of the park and he found Bergwijn with a lovely through pass. Bergwijn rounded off the goalkeeper and he guided the ball into the back of the net to provide Tottenham with one of the remarkable comebacks in the history of the Premier League.

Tottenham won the game late at the end as they left Leicester City disappointed with a comprehensive 2-3 win which takes them up to 5th place.
