Is it a dead crab, a dead spider lying on its back? In any case it’s wooden and big, but not necessarily dead. Moss, maidenhair moss to be precise, covers the legs of this thing that could easily become a monster in someone's imagination if the light is right, or rather not right for a clear view, like at dawn with a bit of mist in these woods. So it is the maidenhair moss and certainly various, at first glance unrecognizable, fungal mycelia that certainly permeate the wooden monster that bring it to life or rather accompany it into decay at the end of its active cycle while countless tiny creatures crawl on, in and through it. One cycle ends and others begin. The story of Life.

It's like a dead forest. The growth of moss on the logs creates a view in itself so it looks beautiful
