It happened here, in this house, in broad daylight, where nobody can hear you, in winter, when the English Garden is still in hibernation. The staff are far away, the gardener has long since done everything necessary and there's more than enough time to do whatever it is that makes the noises I heard there. Unspeakable irregular scratching noises mixed with rattling wheezing and as I got closer to the house the ravenous culprit suddenly jumped out of a small window at the side and disappeared into the bushes in a flash ... a raccoon! 🖖🏼👁🤙🏼
