A Relaxed Modeling Heron - My Actifit Report Card: April 30th, 2025

The mornings had started to soften, each one warmer than the last, hinting at the hush before summer's heat hits. Today I wandered the longer Schleusenland route behind the palace gardens, letting the air and water carry my thoughts. Breathing deep by the wide weir and again at familiar spots, I found calm in the rhythm of the river. Deeper in, by the quiet little creek where I often pause to meditate, I met a heron more serene than shy. It didn’t flee at the first flicker of movement. Instead, we strolled side by side, it in the stream, fishing for breakfast, and I on the bank, just watching. After a while, it jumped out, froze on the bank on the other side looking at me, as if modeling, perfectly still, almost proud. Naturally, I brought back the best shots from this surprising peaceful photo session.
Die Morgen wurden spürbar milder, jeder ein stilles Versprechen auf den kommenden Sommer. Heute ging ich die längere Schleusenlandroute hinter dem Schlossgarten entlang, atmete tief am großen Wehr und an den vertrauten Stellen. Hinten, am kleinen ruhigen Bach, wo ich oft meditiere, traf ich auf einen Reiher, der auffallend gelassen wirkte. Er flog nicht weg, obwohl ich mich bewegte. Stattdessen spazierten wir gemeinsam, er im Wasser, suchend nach Frühstück, ich am Ufer, ihn betrachtend. Irgendwann sprang er ans andere Ufer und blieb stehen und sah mich direkt an, wie ein Model, ruhig, beinahe stolz. Natürlich habe ich euch die besten Bilder dieser überraschend entspannten Fotosession mitgebracht.
