Summer Solstice Castle - My Actifit Report Card: June 21st, 2025

A fresh and friendly breeze carried me along quiet cobblestones this morning, the kind that makes you linger and listen. I wandered my usual winding satutrday route around Mierendorff Island with a short detour into the Schlosspark. At the water’s edge, where I always pause for breathwork and slow, steady meditation, I met the usual crew: the curious coot, the sleepy swan, the bold blackbird. But this morning, something shifted. The light danced different. At the far end of the carp pond, I stood on the red bridge and saw the castle bathed in gold, like a painting come alive. I couldn’t not take a photo. It felt like the world held its breath just long enough for me to catch that moment and carry it home to share it with you.
Eine frische und freundliche Brise trug mich heute Morgen über ruhige Kopfsteinpflaster, die zum Verweilen und Lauschen einlädt. Ich wanderte meine übliche gewundene Samstagsroute um die Mierendorff-Insel mit einem kurzen Abstecher in den Schlosspark. Am Ufer, wo ich immer für Atemübungen und langsame, gleichmäßige Meditation innehalte, traf ich die übliche Crew: das neugierige Blässhuhn, den verschlafenen Schwan, die freche Amsel. Aber heute Morgen war etwas anders. Das Licht tanzte anders. Am anderen Ende des Karpfenteichs stand ich auf der roten Brücke und sah das Schloss in Gold getaucht, wie ein lebendig gewordenes Gemälde. Ich konnte nicht umhin, ein Foto zu machen. Es fühlte sich an, als ob die Welt den Atem anhielt, gerade lange genug, damit ich diesen Moment einfangen und nach Hause tragen konnte, um ihn mit Ihnen zu teilen.
