Wednesday ☀️ 8514

The morning air already shimmered with simmering heat, like a warning whispered through the streets. I skipped my usual walk, knowing the sun would soon turn sidewalks into stovetops. While setting up a small conference show, I spent most of the day hidden in a chilled cocoon of air conditioning. Outside, the heatwave hit its stride, brushing 40 degrees across Germany like a blowtorch on blast. By evening, home felt like a hotbox, with over 30 degrees still clinging to the walls and terrace. But even in this swelter, beauty broke through. I caught a few trippy reflections of the TV-Tower, warped by the windows of a skyscraper. I edited them later, a little gift for you pulled from the haze.

Der Morgen war schon glühend warm, als würde die Hitze leise durch die Straßen flüstern. Ich ließ meinen Morningwalk aus, weil der Asphalt bald wie ein Backblech glühen würde. Beim Aufbau einer kleinen Konferenzshow verbrachte ich fast den ganzen Tag in angenehm kühler Klimaanlagenluft. Draußen drehte die Hitzewelle richtig auf, streifte mit fast 40 Grad über Deutschland wie ein aufgedrehter Bunsenbrenner. Abends war es zuhause immer noch über 30 Grad, drinnen wie draußen auf der Terrasse. Doch selbst im flirrenden Fieber fand ich Momente voller Magie. Ein paar psychedelische Spiegelungen des Fernsehturms fingen meinen Blick, verzerrt durch die Fenster. Ich habe sie später bearbeitet – ein kleiner Gruß aus der Glut.
