Wednesday ☀️ 7846

The morning air felt like a damp whisper brushing my cheeks, a light wind weaving through thick humidity. I didn’t feel fantastic this morgen, more foggy than fresh, so I skipped the long stretch and chose the short peninsula path. Sweat clung like a second shirt as I walked in brisk intervals. I paused by the water, where the world softened. There, I stood still, breathing deep and slow, letting the river flow settle my thoughts. And just as the sky began to brighten, I spotted it: a coot standing proudly on it‘s floating fortress, a small black guardian over the offspring.

Die Morgenluft war wie ein feuchtes Flüstern auf der Haut, ein leichter Wind spielte mit der schweren Feuchtigkeit. Ich fühlte mich nicht besonders gut heute Morgen, eher benebelt als belebt, also ließ ich die lange Runde aus und wählte die eher kurze Halbinselroute. Der Schweiß klebte wie ein zweites Hemd, während ich in zügigen Intervallen ging. Am Wasser blieb ich stehen, atmete tief und langsam, ließ den Flussstrom mein Gedankenmeer beruhigen. Und als die Sonne durch die Wolken brach, sah ich es: ein Blässhuhn stand dort auf seinem Wasserburgnest, ein kleiner schwarzer Wächter über den Nachwuchs.
