The cool wind whispered through the trees this morning as I walked the Mierendorffinsel loop. I moved in steady spurts of interval walking, savoring the rare stillness that only summer holidays in the city could bring. Along the water, I paused for meditation and breathing exercises, letting the quiet feel like a soft blanket around my mind. Then, right after leaving the spiral bridge, the Goerdelersteg, in the north of the island, I stumbled upon an unexpected scene: a burnt-out van resting like a ghost not far from the vivid Wall of Fame. I absolutely had to shoot this surprise motif for later use. I brought back some fresh pieces from the Wall of Fame for you to marvel at, and of course, a shot of that haunting van.
Der kühle Wind flüsterte heute Morgen durch die Bäume, während ich die Mierendorffinselrunde ging. Ich wechselte zwischen flottem und ruhigem Gehen und genoss die seltene Stille, die nur Sommerferien in der Stadt brachten. Am Wasser machte ich Meditation und Atemübungen und ließ die Ruhe wie eine sanfte Decke meinen Kopf umhüllen. Dann entdeckte ich gleich nachdem ich von der Spiralenbrücke, dem Goerdelersteg, im Norden der Insel kam ein überraschendes Bild: ein ausgebrannter Transporter wie ein Geist nicht weit der bunten Wall of Fame. Ich musste dieses Überraschungsmotiv unbedingt für eine spätere Verwendung schiessen. Ich habe euch zum staunen jedenfalls frische Pieces von der Wall of Fame mitgebracht, und klar, auch einen Schuss vom Transporter.
