Wednesday ☀️ 11289

The city stirred awake on a cold autumn morning, barely five degrees, and I felt the crisp air cling to my jacket. I did not have time for a long walk before the second day of show work at Alexanderplatz, but I still managed to collect steps along the way. On the road to the venue, at the site itself, and even on the way back, the rhythm of my footsteps reminded me of a steady drumbeat. What I brought with me today is a pyramid that is not a pyramid, but the corner of a cube, and a green splash of color from Tiergarten S-Bahn station, looking west across the tracks into the distance. Both moments stayed in my mind like postcards I never sent, small reminders that beauty often hides where we do not expect it.

Die Stadt erwachte an einem kalten Herbstmorgen, kaum fünf Grad, und die klare Luft klammerte sich an meinen Mantel. Für einen langen Spaziergang vor meinem zweiten Showtag am Alexanderplatz hatte ich keine Zeit, doch meine Schritte sammelte ich trotzdem. Auf dem Weg zur Venue, vor Ort und auch auf dem Rückweg klangen sie wie ein gleichmäßiger Trommelschlag. Was ich heute mitgebracht habe, ist eine Pyramide, die keine Pyramide ist, sondern die Ecke eines Würfels, und einen grünen Farbtupfer vom S-Bahnhof Tiergarten, Blickrichtung Westen über die Gleise in die Ferne. Beide Eindrücke blieben wie nie verschickte Postkarten in meinem Kopf, kleine Erinnerungen daran, dass Schönheit oft dort wartet, wo man sie nicht erwartet.
