Friday ☀️ COUNT

The chill of a cold autumn morning under five degrees clung to the air, yet the silence felt softer than usual. It was the Day of German Unity, which turned this Friday into a Sunday in spirit, and I carried the calm with me. I was still tired from the last days at work, so I did not set out for a grand adventure. Instead, I chose the now familiar loop around Luiseninsel in the palace gardens. I paused at the decorated bust of the queen to say good morning as usual, its flowers bright against the gray mist, and I lingered by the hollow tree, filled with vivid colors like a secret treasure chest. Along the path, I met birds busy with their morning rituals, their wings cutting through the fog like brushes painting fleeting strokes. I returned with a handful of moody autumn photos.

Die Kälte eines herbstlichen Morgens unter fünf Grad hing schwer in der Luft, und doch wirkte die Stille sanfter als sonst. Es war der Tag der Deutschen Einheit, ein Freitag, der sich wie ein Sonntag anfühlte, und ich nahm diese Ruhe mit. Von den letzten Arbeitstagen noch etwas erschöpft, machte ich keine große Tour. Stattdessen wählte ich die inzwischen vertraute Runde um die Luiseninsel im Schlosspark. Ich verweilte an der geschmückten Büste der Königin um wie üblich Guten Morgen zu sagen, deren Blumen im grauen Nebel leuchteten, und hielt am hohlen Baum, der bunt gefüllt wie eine geheime Schatztruhe wirkte. Auf dem Weg begegnete ich Vögeln, die geschäftig ihren Morgen begingen, ihre Flügel wie Pinselstriche durch den Nebel ziehend. Am Ende brachte ich ein paar stimmungsvolle Herbstbilder mit nach Hause.
