The morning had worn a quiet gray coat, soft and mild, almost shy for early November. I skipped my usual morning walk again, work still ruled the rhythm of my days. It was the first show day, and the crowd came in waves, a living sea of people moving through the Berlin fairgrounds. On my way to the venue, across the vast halls, and even on the way back, my steps piled up like pebbles on a long path. I brought back some impressions for you, one of the biggest halls here, so large that even a truck parked inside looked like a forgotten toy in a giant’s room.

Der Morgen trug ein stilles graues Kleid, sanft und mild, fast schüchtern für Anfang November. Meinen morgendlichen Spaziergang ließ ich wieder aus, die Arbeit bestimmte noch immer den Takt. Es war der erste Messetag, und die Menschen strömten wie Wellen über das Berliner Messegelände. Auf dem Weg zur Halle, vor Ort und zurück sammelten sich Schritte wie kleine Steine am Weg. Für euch habe ich Eindrücke aus einer der größten Hallen mitgebracht, so weitläufig, dass selbst ein LKW darin wie ein verlorenes Spielzeug wirkte.
