A cold damp November morning carried a quiet calm, like the world had pulled a soft grey blanket over itself. I did not rush. I stepped out late and walked the short peninsula route, the wet leaves sticking to my shoes like sleepy cats. Before the day grew fully rainy, I picked up a few small treats, tiny rewards that tasted like time well spent. On the way I spotted mushrooms rising from the soil like little lanterns. I was not sure if they were Grey Knight or Deer Shield or something entirely different. They stood there like shy strangers at a bus stop, familiar yet unnamed. I carried the moment home more than anything I held in my hands.

Ein kalter feuchter Novembermorgen trug eine stille Ruhe, als hätte die Welt sich eine weiche graue Decke übergelegt. Ich beeilte mich nicht. Ich ging spät los und nahm die kurze Halbinselroute, während nasse Blätter wie schläfrige Katzen an meinen Schuhen klebten. Bevor der Tag richtig verregnet wurde, holte ich ein paar kleine Leckereien, kleine Belohnungen für einfache Zeit. Auf dem Rückweg entdeckte ich Pilze, die aus dem Boden ragten wie kleine Laternen. Ich war mir nicht sicher, ob es Grey Knight oder Deer Shield oder etwas ganz anderes waren. Sie standen da wie schüchterne Fremde an einer Bushaltestelle, vertraut und doch unbenannt. Ich brachte am Ende den Moment mit nach Hause, nicht nur das, was in meinen Händen lag.
