The Whole Christmas Shebang - My Actifit Report Card: November 19th, 2025

A cold November morning wrapped the city in a silver stillness, yet I moved through it with the steady focus of someone chasing small stories in big places. I did not take my usual morning walk because the second show day of the solar energy congress waited inside the old congress hall with its proud dome at Alexanderplatz. As I made my way to the venue and later wandered back again, I still collected enough steps to feel the day in my legs, the way you feel good miles after a long stroll. Around Alexanderplatz the growing maze of Christmas stalls rose like a wooden wave and the breaking clouds behind the towering Christmas pyramid almost begged to be captured, so I snapped a photo to share with you.
Ein kalter Novembermorgen hüllte die Stadt in stille Kälte und ich bewegte mich dennoch hindurch wie jemand, der kleine Geschichten in großen Orten suchte. Ich machte keinen morgendlichen Spaziergang, weil der zweite Messetag des Solarenergiekongresses in der alten Kongresshalle mit der Kuppel am Alexanderplatz auf mich gewartet hatte. Auf dem Weg zur Veranstaltung und später zurück sammelte ich trotzdem genug Schritte, um den Tag in meinen Beinen zu spüren. Rund um den Alexanderplatz wuchs das Gewirr der Weihnachtsstände wie eine hölzerne Welle und die aufbrechenden Wolken hinter der riesigen Weihnachtspyramide baten förmlich darum fotografiert zu werden, also hielt ich den Moment fest, um ihn mit euch zu teilen.
