The city still slept as the sky blushed awake, and I stepped into a cold winter morning under five degrees that didn‘t feel harsh because the air stood almost still. I moved with interval walking the long palace gardens route, a steady rhythm like turning pages in a favorite book. It was not a brutal march but a mild, mindful drift into sunrise, with interesting tree silhouettes and a mostly calm River Spree keeping me company. I followed the palace gardens shore and crossed north of the park by the big rail bridge, where I paused to paint the dark with a few colorful long exposure photos, colors stretching like warm taffy and of course i brought them back for you to enjoy. Coming back from the cold into warmth is always a nice comfy feeling and the hot drink waited like a friendly fire.

Die Stadt schlief noch, als der Himmel langsam errötete, und ich trat in einen kalten Wintermorgen unter fünf Grad, der sich nicht eisig anfühlte, weil kaum Wind ging. Ich ging im Intervall Walking die grosse Schlossparkrunde, ein ruhiger Rhythmus wie das Umblättern eines Lieblingsbuchs. Es war kein brutaler Marsch, sondern ein mildes, mentales Gleiten in den Sonnenaufgang, mit interessanten Baumsilhouetten und der meist ruhigen Spree als Begleiter. Ich folgte dem Schlossparkufer und ging nördlich vom Park über die grosse Bahnbrücke, wo ich anhielt und ein paar schöne bunte Langzeitbelichtungen machte, Farben gedehnt wie warmer Toffee und natürlich hab ich euch die Fotos zum bestaunen mitgebracht. Nach der Kälte ins Warme zu kommen fühlte sich immer wieder angenehm gemütlich an und das heisse Getränk wartete wie ein freundliches Feuer.
