Friday ☀️ 10186

Cold, dreary, and humid, that’s how this morning presented itself, with temperatures below 5 degrees. No frost, but everything was wet from last night’s rain. Today I decided to take the peninsula route for my interval walking, and a wide variety of feathered friends kept me company here and there. A pair of swans swimming, a few seagulls circling above me, and the usual crows. It was a very gray morning, and everything seemed somehow monochromatic; my mood and my motivation to take photos matched that atmosphere. The two unadorned office buildings on the Spree, along with their reflections, presented themselves in a very striking way, so I captured them. And to counter the harsh straight lines, I also snapped a bouquet of buds for you. As a bonus, here’s a sunny photo of our “Langer Lulatsch,” the Berlin Radio Tower, since it’s celebrating its 100th birthday today.

Kalt, ungemütlich, hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit, so präsentierte sich der heutige Morgen unter 5 Grad. Kein Frost, aber nass überall vom Regen der letzten Nacht. Habe mich heute für die Halbinselroute im Intervall-Walking entschieden und die verschiedensten gefiederten Freunde haben mich hier und da begleitet. Ein Schwanenpärchen schwimmend, ein paar Möwen kreisend über mir und auch die üblichen Krähen. Es war ein sehr grauer Morgen und alles wirkte irgendwie monochrom und dazu passte sich meine Stimmung und auch die Motivation zu fotografieren an. Sehr plakativ boten sich die beiden schnörkellosen Bürogebäude an der Spree samt ihrer Reflexionen an und ich nahm sie mit und um den brutalen Geraden etwas entgegen zu setzen, habe ich euch noch einen Strauss Knospen eingefangen. Als Bonus habe ich noch ein sonniges Foto von unserem „Langen Lulatsch“, dem Berliner Funkturm, weil er heute seinen 100. Geburtstag feiert.
