Very funny as Rio Ferdinand said people should not compare him with William Saliba (the Arsenal young defender). Saliba was bought by Arsenal and he was loaned out to ligue 1, where he won the young best player award last season and Arsenal called him back home because that is where he still belong and he is highly needed at the club, although he first insisted that he is not going to Arsenal because he find peace and playing time at France but later he said he want to show Arsenal and the beautiful fans what he have and his performance has been really great ever since the pre-season but he did a great work on the day Arsenal played against Crystal Palace which made fans compare him with Rio Ferdinand.

I don't really know why Rio Ferdinand said they should not compare him with William Saliba, maybe because Saliba is not a Manchester United player, I know if William Saliba is a Manchester United player, Ferdinand won't say such thing, he would even be glad because he would like Manchester United to be fine or play good games that Arsenal is currently playing, unlike Manchester United that are in the bottom of the table presently. And it could be because Arsenal and Manchester United are rivals when he was still playing, maybe the rivalry spirit is in him till now because in his time, it is Arsenal and Manchester United that used to be hot, just like Manchester City and Liverpool does now.

In the time of Rio Ferdinand, football has never hard like it is now, football has advanced now, so with William Saliba's performances, I think Saliba is even better than Rio Ferdinand. For a player to be voted for as the best young player in a league, he is very better! In record, I don't think Rio Ferdinand win that award when he was young, even when he is old, it was John Terry and others that dominates then, not Rio Ferdinand, so he should think of the quality that William Saliba have before he insisted that Saliba shouldn't be compared to him. Saliba didn't finish at ligue 1, he still continue when he reached England back and if nothing like injury happen, he would definitely continue.

Rio Ferdinand is even arrogant, he never agree someone is better than him, that is not bad though but telling him that someone did just like him and he saying no is something else. For him to say no to the comparison that fans made that someone that plays like. Saliba is young and it's not even him that compare himself to Rio Ferdinand, so he aim to be better than him, far better than him and it's obvious because that is even the reason why he returned back to Arsenal, to prove that he is good to the club and the wonderful fans supporting Arsenal.
