Ice Skating My Favorite Sport

It's another week and this week is filled with interesting topics from @hivelearners. It's is really good to see that many of us will have to make a choice on the type of sports they like.

Right from high school, I have always loved participating in different sports. I could remember a sack race I did with other schools but eventually, I came out 3rd position because I can't run on sacks. I also did high jump and 200m race with other schools. For the 200m race, I took first position because I could run very well then. I don't think I can do that now that I have added, they really said that fat can make you reduce some kind of things. I'm hoping to go back to my sporting activities soon.

Even when my school had an inter-house sport, I was in yellow house then, although they believed yellow house usually comes out last in all their competitions, but during my own time, yellow house took first in match pass and some other sports like running and high jump.

I was also involved in javelin, but I wasn't good at throwing either so I lost in that one. My school made me love some kind of sports because we were exposed to all sorts of sporting games. It was believe that when you engage yourself in a game, it takes your mind off in some kind of things or situations.

Despite the fact that I was engaged in all this activities, I have come to love one so much that I wish I could do that someday.

My favorite sport game is ice skating. I have watched lots of skating on TV and I love the way they display on their nice looking outfits. For those who doesn't know skating, the definition is given below:

Ice skating is the self-propulsion and gliding of a person across an ice surface, using metal-bladed ice skates. People skate for various reasons, including recreation, exercise, competitive sports, and commuting. Source

Ice skating is a sport of gliding on an ice surface. It is a recreational game and it is a sport played by many. Some also use it as a form of dancing competition, and the reason I love it is because of it's creativity and uniqueness. Unlike other sport that is carried out on a field, ice skating can only be done on ice.

I didn't have the opportunity to skate in high school because there was nothing like that in my school, though apart from ice skating, people can still do that on the road but I think that one is more dangerous. What if you get hit by a moving vehicle?

For now, if I have the opportunity to skate, I will do it as a form of exercise, I wouldn't want to use it for competition because I'm not good at it yet. Though I heard that the best time to learn skating is when you're young, it will bring out your flexibility and energy in you which will make you learn faster.
