My proud moment as a school coach

It was a memorable weekend for the staff and students of Great Best Brain international Coallge Akwanga, Nasarawa state Nigeria whoes sport team emerge runners up in her first ever maiden participation in National Association of Private School (NAPPS) football competition.

The school football team secure final spot after beating Dead of Wisdom secondary school 4:5 on penalty. In a final that was played at Shepard internatiional Nursery and Primary school field between Rishama College and The Great Best Brsin was highly contested.

The first half ended goals with both team coming close to scoring but neither could any find the back of the net. Soon after the break the match resume with both team making substitute to strenghten thier team. Best Brain team were a thread to their oponent but where unable to turn their dominance to score. The game continued until the 57 minnute when a player of Rishama College capitlalise on poor clearance by the best Brian team to open the scoring for his team given them an edge over their oponent.

The Best Brain team dominant possession and pressure on thier oponents fail to eaqulalzed the score. Chuckwuemeka came close to scoring an equalizer but saw his head ball cross over the bar. Rishama College held up to their lead to win the came 1:0 final scoreline.

To us the Best Brain studnets and staff, it was a proud moment though losing the final, but to get this far for the first outing is worth celeberated. The propritor of the Great Best Brain spoke with the players and student by commending their effort in the competition. He describe it as a proud moment and said their oponent were only lucky to have gone with a victory but what ever happen, they were the best team in the pitch and that will speak volume of the school. Its a great archivement to the school because this will add more accolate to the school. He, promise a great refreshment to all the players for the their job Welldone at the turnament . For me, it was also a moment of pride and Joy been the first coach000 and game master to have led this young boys to a second place at a football turnament. It also give me an experience as coach which will help me In the feature. Speaking to the players, students and supporters, the game captain of the school Justice Danladi expresses his diaspiontment for not winning the trophy but he is encourage by the wards of the propritor and other staff.

He prayed and urge to whoever will succeed him as the next game captain to do they can to lift the trophy in the next edition. It was and will always be a memorable day for the staff and students of THE GREAT BEST BRAIN. We all ended the day by residing the school anthem
