150 years of the oldest football tournament in the world, the FA Cup saw a thrilling final at Wembley and the "Rock and Roll Football" of Klopp's team ended up crowning their second title of the season after having won the Carabao Cup also against Chelsea. Two finals at Wembley, both against Chelsea, both of which were decided on penalties in favour of the Merseyside team!

This Liverpool side appear to be incombustible; in the current campaign, having won both domestic cup finals, and with the UEFA Champions League final on the horizon, the Reds will end the 2021-22 season having played 64 games; they still have a chance - however remote - of claiming the Premiership title (3 points behind Manchester City) and the Paris final against Real Madrid gives them great hope.

The match demonstrated Liverpool's high level against a Chelsea side that was a huge rival and also showed that, in football, there can be goalless draws that are beautiful to watch. There was spectacle and excitement throughout at Wembley. In the first 10 minutes of the match, Liverpool played the notes of their Heavy Metal with Colombian Luis Diaz setting the pace for the show. What a signing for Klopp's side!
El partido demostró el grandísimo nivel del Liverpool ante un Chelsea que ha sido un enorme rival y también ha dejado de manifiesto que, en el futbol, puede haber empates a cero que son preciosos de ver. Hubo espectáculo y emociones en todo momento en Wembley. En los primeros 10 minutos de partido, el Liverpool tocó las notas de su Heavy Metal con el colombiano Luis Díaz poniendo el ritmo al espectáculo ¡Que fichaje para los de Klopp!
Chelsea survived the early gale, it took Tuchel's side a quarter of an hour to get into the game, but once they did manage to get their football going, they had a couple of chances with Christian Pulisic's feet, but they failed to find the net. From then on, they traded chances in a match that looked very much like the Carabo Cup final.
Sobrevivió el Chelsea a ese vendaval inicial, a los de Tuchel les costó un cuarto de hora meterse de lleno en el encuentro, aunque toda vez lograron activar su futbol tuvieron un par de ocasiones en los pies de Christian Pulisic, ocasiones que no lograron ver puerta. De ahí en más se fueron intercambiando ocasiones en el desarrollo de un partido que se pareció mucho a la final de la Carabo Cup.
Despite Mohamed Salah's forced exit through injury just past the half-hour mark, Liverpool maintained a good volume of play and outplayed Chelsea in the second half. For the final 10 minutes, the Reds were again overwhelming, with Luis Diaz in charge - as he was in the first 10 minutes of the game - a lot of dominance, two balls against the posts and little reward for Klopp's side.
A pesar de la forzada salida de Mohamed Salah por lesión apenas rebasada la media hora de juego, el Liverpool sostuvo un buen volumen de juego y en la segunda mitad fue mejor que el Chelsea. Duarante los últimos 10 minutos, los Reds fueron nuevamente avasalladores, con Luis Díaz en los mandos -tal y como sucedió en los primeros 10 minutos del encuentro-, mucho dominio, dos pelotas a los palos y poco premio para los de Klopp.

The extra time passed uneventfully, neither Reds nor Blues found enough gunpowder to hurt each other and with the departures of Luis Diaz and Christian Pulisic both sides lost their key player and seemingly ran out of ideas. The FA Cup final would have the same fate as the Carabao final, the penalty shootout.
Los tiempos extra transcurrieron sin novedades, ni Reds ni Blues encontraron pólvora suficiente para hacerse daño y con las salidas de Luis Díaz y Christian Pulisic ambas oncenas perdieron a su jugador diferencial y aparentemente se quedaron sin ideas. In the penalty shoot-out Azpilicueta missed Chelsea's second spot-kick against the post, and Edouard Mendy denied his compatriot Sadio Mané glory with Liverpool's fifth spot-kick. The series was going long, with both teams getting the sixth spot-kick right, but with Mason Maount missing from the Londoners' seventh, it was all set up for Kostas Tsimikas to take the glory and he did just that... Liverpool were crowned FA Cup winners for the eighth time in their history!
En la tanda de penaltis falló Azpilicueta el segundo cobro del Chelsea contra el poste, y Edouard Mendy le negó la gloria a su compatriota Sadio Mané en el quintó cobro del Liverpool. Se alargaba la serie, con ambos equipos acertando el sexto cobro pero en el séptimo lanzamiento de los londinenses fallaría Mason Maount, todo servido para que Kostas Tsimikas se vistiera de gloria y así lo hizo… ¡El Liverpool se coronó campeón de la FA Cup por octava ocasión en su historia!

Partido igualado para ambos equipos con opciones para anotar goles para cualquier lado, quizás el destino quería que se definiera en penales, donde la suerte favoreció al Liverpool.
Hola @kraken99, tienes razón en que el encuentro fue igualado; ambos equipos buscaron hacer daño al otro con su futbol y sus herramientas, pero sí que sentí algunos momentos -justo al inicio y al final de los 90 minutos- en los que el Liverpool fue ligeramente mejor que el Chelsea sobre la grama de Wembley. Al final terminó coronándose el equipo de Klopp por segunda ocasión en el temporada, contra el mismo rival y en la misma instancia, los penaltis.
Si por supuesto que en momentos el Liverpool fue mejor que el Chelsea, también por momentos el Chelsea fue mejor que el Liverpool, por ejemplo al inicuo del segundo tiempo donde los de Tuchel tuvieron varias ocasiones de anotar. Fue un lindo partido a final de todo. Se pudo inclinar para cualquier lado, pero se inclino para el lado del Liverpool. Merecido campeón.
