El Real Madrid se volvía a plantar en el Estadio de la Cerámica de Villarreal, donde 12 días atrás salió derrotado en el choque por la jornada 16 de LaLiga; los de Ancelotti llegaban con sensación de urgencia pues tras aquella derrota ante Villarreal ligaron dos partidos más por la Supercopa de España sin poder ganar en tiempo regular (ante el Valencia 1-1 -ganando en penaltis- y la dolorosa derrota en la final ante el FC Barcelona 3-1).
En Riyadh, los Merengues tocaron fondo y, en La Cerámica, daban la sensación de seguir con la cabeza puesta en la capital saudí al menos durante la primera parte en la que fueron ampliamente superados por el Villarreal que daba la impresión de ser un submarino nuclear que volvería a dar cuenta del barco blanco de Carlo Ancelotti. Los de Quique Setién firmaron una primera mitad maravillosa en la que estaban pegando un meneo absoluto a los de Ancelotti que no estaban, ni se les esperaba.

Hay que remontarse hasta 2017 para encontrar la última victoria Merengue en el Estadio de la Cerámica y el hecho de que el Villarreal se haya llevado el marcador al descanso con un 2-0 a favor y una puesta en escena apabullantemente superior a lo que ofrecían sus rivales no invitaba a absolutamente nadie a pensar que el Real Madrid pudiera salir avante en el patio del Submarino Amarillo. Aquí justo aquí es donde todos nos volvimos a equivocar, pues hoy ha vuelto a cobrar sentido aquella frase que reza que “al Real Madrid no se le debe dar por muerto nunca”.
Aún no se cumplian 4 minutos de juego cuando el Submarino soltó su primer misil, y nunca mejor dicho, porque eso, un misil irrefrenable, fue el disparo de Éttiene Capoue tras la magnífica jugada al más puro estilo de “poste” de baloncesto que ejecutó Gerard Moreno recibiendo en el área un saque de banda para asistir con maestría al centrocampista francés que disparó sin piedad. No habíamos terminado de acomodarnos y el Real Madrid ya había encajado el primer golpe sin haber aún desempacado de su dolorosa travesía saudiarabe.
You have to go all the way back to 2017 to find the last Merengue victory at the Estadio de la Cerámica and the fact that Villarreal went in at half-time with a 2-0 lead and an overwhelmingly superior display to what their opponents were offering invited absolutely no one to think that Real Madrid could come out victorious in the Submarino Amarillo's court. Pero Ancelotti y los suyos tenían otros planes, para la segunda mitad volveríamos a ser testigos de la enésima aparición del Real Madrid de la épica, de ese equipo al que le hierve la sangre con vergüenza deportiva, aquel que no baja los brazos por muy complejo que parezca el panorama, una oncena que tira de amor propio y remonta lo irremontable. Ancelotti supo leer lo que pedía el partido, se dio cuenta que las salidas del incombustible Raúl Albiol y Juan Foyth debilitaban al submarino en defensiva y que era hora de atacar sin miramientos.

En esa perfecta lectura de circunstancias, Ancelotti sacudió el árbol e hizo ingresar de una tajada a Dani Ceballos y Marco Asensio en sustitución de Toni Kroos y Rodrygo Goes. Un golpe de efecto absoluto en favor del conjunto blanco porque fue Dani Ceballos -que firmó en La Cerámica su mejor partido con la camiseta del Real Madrid- quien en la vertiginosa y precisa combinación con Karim Benzema, terminó asistiendo a Vinicius para el 2-1 que ponía fin a una sequía goleadora de 628 minutos para el brasileño con la camiseta blanca, pues no anotaba desde el 11 de noviembre, bálsamo para Vinicius y un soplo de vida al pecho Merengue.
Vida que no iban a desaprovechar los Blancos, como han hecho tantas y tantas veces, resurgirían de sus propias cenizas, ahuyentarían sus propios demonios y encontrarían el gol del empate con el que metieron miedo en el cuerpo del Villarreal, un miedo que los Groguet no iban a poder sacudirse bajo concepto alguno. Al minuto 69’, nuevamente Ceballos a escena, el de Utrera levantó un centro templado al área para encontrar el testarazo de Benzema que Jörgensen escupió tan solo para ver como Eder Militao hacía subir el empate al luminoso.

Una verdadera lastima lo ocurrido ante el Barcelona, después de lo de la temporada pasada quería que ganarán todas estás competiciones, menos mal lograron resolver el partido frente al Villarreal.
Deben echarle un ojo al medio campo, una cosa es que pueda tener un mal día Modric o Kroos, pero ambos es peligroso para el funcionamiento del equipo, Ceballos ingreso increíble pero aún no lo veo como titular, la mayoría de los partidos en los que lo fue de a poco se va desvaneciendo, suele ser más eficiente como recambio.

La pobre imagen que ofrecieron ante el Barcelona el domingo pasado es simple y sencillamente lamentable, ya no por haber perdido el encuentro y, a la postre, el título de la Supercopa; sino por las formas.
Hoy, durante los primeros 45 minutos ante el Villarreal, estábamos viendo al mismo Real Madrid que el domingo pasado sucumbió en Riyadh ante el Barceloana, pero en el segundo tiempo cambiaron por completo la cara de su fútbol.
En el Real Madrid se le debe echar un ojo a todo, empezando por la defensa, pasando por el centro del campo y terminando con la delantera que necesita -sí o sí- otro centro delantero del cual echar mano a parte de Benzema. Ojalá Ceballos pueda mantener el nivel que mostró hoy, sería maravilloso para el equipo.

Es raro que tengan esta aura en la copa del rey pero bienvenido sea hahahah. Una buena remontada quizás los ayuda s levantar el vuelo y empezar a mejorar en los próximos partidos. Después del 2-0 yo ví muy complicado la remontada pero por fortuna lo lograron. El sorteo de la copa va a estar muy bueno bro.
Concuerdo contigo hermano, es raro que esta aura de inmortalidad se presente en la Copa del Rey, pero ha sido bueno verles renacer de las cenizas después de un primer tiempo infumable de su parte -gran mérito del Villarreal, también hay que decirlo-. Al descanso, yo no veía por dónde es que el Madrid pudiese remontarlo, sin embargo se dio. El Sorteo nos ha dejado con un Derbi muy interesante que jugar el jueves. ¡Va a estar bueno!

Madrid are playing poorly this period. I don't really know what's the problem bit I think they get their motive back. They so concede a lot of goals and even with a weaker team.
I also think they should buy a string striker that can challenge Benzima in that position.

They so are, they are struggling a lot to play some decent football even before the World Cup. I don't really get it, as well, I can't understand the reason why they are defending that badly and and they are having trouble to generate good steady football in the midfield. Im' with you on the need of another striker who can generate different options in the attacking front since Benzema strikes me as being over comfortable up there sometimes (as well as the fact that Madrid has got no natural substite for him in case of an injury or any booking situation).
I am also a Madrid fan and i always want them to play beautifully and win. Hala Madrid, mi friend!

La verdad todos somos humanos y es entendible que ocurran este estilo de cosas como lo ocurrido con el barcelona futbol club, pero lo más importante es poder levantarse y seguir en pie, poco a poco se van levantando y avanzando. Son un gran equipo y siempre lo han sido, obviamente más equipos seguirán avanzando entrenando y creciendo, este 2023 nos trae muchas sorpresas!

Sí, es verdad que debemos considerar el aspecto humano dentro del deporte; pero este Real Madrid venía dando partidos muy malos incluso antes de la Copa del Mundo y creo que ante el Barça en Riyadh tocaron fondo. Supieron levantarse de ese duro golpe y de un 2-0 en contra para seguir con vida en la Copa y eso es bastante plausible. ¡Veremos como sigue avanzando la temporada para el Madrid!
