Liverpool lacked their football, they couldn't find the resources they needed to build their Heavy Metal and Mo Salah's 81st minute goal was not enough for Klopp's side, who now have just two points from their first nine games. A worrying start to the season for a team whose aspirations are to win the Premier League title.
On the 86th minute Ronaldo came on to replace the goalscoring Rashford, and it seems that the tension with his new manager could not be greater. Ronaldo has been relegated to a secondary role by the Tulip tactician and things don't look set to change at all with just a few days to go until the transfer window closes. Ronaldo ha estado relegado a un papel secundario para el estratega tulipán y la cosa no pinta para cambiar del todo a tan solo unos días del cierre en el mercado de fichajes. La situación de CR7 en Old Trafford es una de las varias novelas dramáticas que enfrenta el entorno del United.

El United necesitaba una victoria como esa, se le vio muy bien en casi todos los aspectos del juego. La defensa estuvo increíble con Varane y Leandro, se echaron en los bolsillos a los delanteros del Liverpool, el medio estuvo muy bien y la delantera estuvo fantástica, pudieron anotar más goles pero se fallaron algunas ocasiones claras, como el disparo de Rashford, que por cierto jugo muy bien.
Este clásico de Inglaterra se lo lleva el United.

La verdad es que sí, el United necesitaba un resultado como este con urgencia. La dupla Varane-Martínez funcionó de maravilla para frenar a un Liverpool que dio la sensación de haberse quedado corto de ideas de cara a la producción ofensiva. Coincido contigo, hermano, Rashford hizo un gran partido y la verdad es que al menos algún golito más por parte del United pudo haber caído.

In all honesty, Manchester United showed better attitude. It wasn't easy for Liverpool too because they were dealing with suspension and injuries. Manchester United took advantage and I enjoyed the game from the start to finish because it was intense, filled with energy and determination. It was a game worthy of being called a derby.
It was a game in wich United, as you well mention, showed a way different attitude than the one shown in the previous ones. They played a good game with tons fo energy and a lot of determination. Liverpool could never find their football at Old Trafford though.
It was a good game and a great result for United who really needed it.
