Hola, querido hiver.

Este primer mes del año se me está pasando sin enterarme. Es algo que me pasa casi todos los años. Supongo que está motivado por las fiestas navideñas y que en mi país se celebre el día de los Reyes Magos que significa el final de la Navidad. Al caer este año en viernes el regreso a la normalidad no llegó hasta el día 9, ya casi a mitad de mes como quien dice.

En menos de un mes llegará mi cumpleaños. Regresan con él recuerdos, nostalgia y esperanzas. Todo bien agitado y mezclado como los dry martini de James Bond. Alegría y tristeza simultáneas. Perdona que me haya puesto un poco ñoña. La realidad es que solo es un cambio en la numeración de mi carnet de identidad. La medición del tiempo se la sacó de la manga el ser humano para no volverse loco al quedar con sus amigos o con el enemigo para la guerra. El caso es evitar darse plantón. Por tanto, cuando llegue ese día lo comentaré como una jornada más, ya que eso será.

Mi reflexión

Desde que me embarqué en este proceso de reflexión diaria he utilizado la técnica del mantra para ayudarme a no perder el foco. Puedo decirte que ha servido de clavo al que agarrarme en momentos difíciles y que funciona de verdad.

Para las situaciones imprevistas y que me perturban por mi carácter tendente al neuroticismo, me retiro por unos instante y me repito a mí misma que debo respirar en profundidad y pensar con claridad. El mantra sería algo así como: “Respira, inspira y exhala. Piensa si puedes controlar esto que pasa o está fuera de tu control. Fluye”.

Quizás en ese instante no haga milagros, pero solo el mantener la boca cerrada y limitarte a escuchar y observar evita que empeores lo que hay. El ego pugna por hacerse presente a cada momento dando opiniones y consejos no solicitados. Pretendes salvar el mundo y solucionar los problemas de todos, cuando apenas te responsabilizas de tu propia vida. Puede que sea justamente por eso por lo que lo haces. Escondes tu miedo a hacerte cargo de ti misma transformándolo en ayuda externa.

Ahora lo veo tan claro que a veces me dan ganas de darme de cabezazos contra la pared. Qué estúpida he sido y cuánto sufrimiento me habría ahorrado. Sin embargo, pronto me doy cuenta de que todos esos momentos y situaciones son los que ahora me hacen reconocer y sentir mi felicidad. Sin ellos continuaría con mi ceguera, por lo que les estoy agradecida.

Por la tarde: termino el programa que empecé ayer, lectura y otra tanda de curación.

My reflection

Since I embarked on this process of daily reflection I have used the mantra technique to help me stay focused. I can tell you that it has served as a nail to hold on to in difficult moments and that it really works.

For unforeseen situations and situations that disturb me because of my tendency towards neuroticism, I withdraw for a few moments and repeat to myself that I need to take a deep breath and think clearly. The mantra would be something like: "Breathe in, breathe in and breathe out. Think about whether you can control what is happening or whether it is out of your control. Flow.

It may not work miracles in that instant, but just keeping your mouth shut and limiting yourself to listening and observing prevents you from making what is there worse. The ego strives to be present at every turn, giving unsolicited opinions and advice. You pretend to save the world and solve everyone's problems, when you hardly take responsibility for your own life. Maybe that's exactly why you do it. You hide your fear of taking charge of yourself by turning it into external help.

Now I see it so clearly that sometimes I feel like banging my head against the wall. How stupid I have been and how much suffering I would have saved myself. However, I soon realise that all those moments and situations are the ones that now make me recognise and feel my happiness. Without them I would continue with my blindness, for which I am grateful.

Log of the day

Morning routine: walk with the puppy, housework and content curation.

Afternoon: finish the programme I started yesterday, reading and another round of curation.
