Well done and yes, ageing is always a factor when it comes to speed. Lately I walk around at a snail's pace, or should I say like a drunken snail, as I continue to have dizzy spells.

Age tends to bring various issues. I hope I have a few more years of running in me. I see folk in their 70s and even 80s at parkrun who inspire me.

True enough and we also have the plus 80s running marathons here. Sadly my running days ended at 1980, as a had a close to death accident on my motorbike, leaving me with a very long hospital stay and a left leg that is shorter than my normal right leg.
But I am not complaining, as I have learnt how to hop along at a fast pace !LOL

I think we have to consider ourselves lucky to get to a good age in one piece. I've managed not to break any bones so far and I did ride motorbikes.

Yep, you are indeed lucky, but accidents happen in a blink of an eye, and I was swiped from behind at a traffic light by a taxi that knocked me into oncoming traffic.

Ow. We're luck you are still with us. I was shunted by a car just after I passed my bike test, but I was unhurt.
