Huffed and puffed, yet no goal
Hello guys so today I had the opportunity to watch a football match, one that didn't meet my expectations actually, and yes I'm a football fan, and I have deep regards for Manchester united but they've been falling hands recently with all the dull draws here and there, today was another one of them.
Manchester united have been disappointing this season, flattered to deceive. At the start of the season we had thought that this would be our season, it may not bring the title to the theater of dreams but we were sure to expect a considerable amount of improvement in our games instead the reverse seems to be the case. We don't have a clear playing style.
On this day, i went to the viewing center in my area with some guys just to watch my team play, they were quite impressive but lacked the killer instinct needed to win this game. Chance after chance came begging, just for a touch or something but, nope, they missed them.
Whats wrong with Cristiano? Well I have to ask this question cos he missed the most chances in this game and gave away the ball a couple of times too. It might just have been a bad game but it cost us two points and now we could drop out of the top four spot. Ouch. In the good old days, you'd expect those kind of chances to end up with the ball at the back of the net and Cristiano running off to do the "siiuuuu" but not this time, he was way off the mark today.
Penalty!! Nope get up. There were a few penalty calls in the game but they weren't convincing enough to have the referee blow the whistle and point to the spot. Like the one with Elanga, the ref simply told him to get up.
Speaking of Elanga, he also had a good game but his inexperience and lack of finishing was costly today. I know he can score goals and gave us a good goal against atletico but he missed a clear chance today after a beautiful build up, which he actually started, and a wonderful pass from Pogba, Elanga shot wide of the post. Na wa oo.
What about our midfielders? We had four of them on the pitch today. Pogba's long pass is always a beauty to watch his ball control and how he guards the ball is also top notch. Bruno played well but missed a couple of chances. These two guys would have easily had at least two assists in the game. Fred and matic played well and kept control of the midfield, I also admired the passing of matic today especially to the left flank.
The defense had Little to do today other than push forward. Telles got forward well but didn't do enough and so he was subbed for shaw. Wanbisaka, Lindelof and varane were solid, DDG, had Little to do also.
More attackers still didn't bring the goal. The coach made some subs which clearly showed that he wanted to get that goal and was willing to risk just Pogba and Bruno in the middle of the park. On came Rashford andSancho and our shape changed to a 4-2-4 kind. Sancho tried to bring on some magic, he dazzled here and there and even made a good attempt off target while Rashford was just confused to me oo, lol. I didn't see his impact in that game.
In the end, it was a draw, better luck next time. Ggmu.

That's football for Sure, it is always unpredictable, no matter who you are playing against, it is something magical, because anything can happen.
Yeah, i agree with you, anything can happen in football but this performance was quite disappointing, I expected more from them.
