These two, although now separated, will be remembered for a long while by the Madrid fans and world football at large. They were formidable when at their very best and could also add goals to their performance at will.
The contrast in footballing style of the pair compliments each other well. Sergio Ramos can be very hot headed at times while Varane mostly keeps his calm and composure.
They were the back bone of one of the most dominant Madrid era and together they were able to win a host of trophies including 3 champions league trophies in a row.
Chielini and Bonucci

Experience amd skill is what this entails of. These two players have been a solid rock in the defensive department for years now and if anything, they've come to understand eac other well.
Chielini was more physical and most came with brute force to stop anything coming while Bonucci kept up with whatever couldn't be handled by his partner. Together they've won eight Serie A titles, three Coppa Italias and five Super Coppa Italias together.
Their exploits in the champions league didn't go unnoticed and Jose Mourinho was full of praise for the defensive duo. He went on to say
"Mr Bonucci and Mr Chiellini could give some Harvard University classes about how to be a central defender."

While Cheillini claims to know Bonucci better than he knows his wife. They were also the first choice center backs at national level for Italy and won the Euro 2020 together with Bonucci scoring a vital goal in the final.

Talk of creativity and I'll refer you to these guys. This pair of fullbacks are everything you'll need from a modern day fullback. They have consistently delivered for Liverpool over the past few years and are now one of the first names on the team sheet.
They are the creative hub of Liverpool and who needs a flashy midfielder in there when you've got these two who could do the job from defense. Their crossing ability is really really good and I love that of Arnold the most, their stats speaks for them well. They are also consistent and hardly get injured.
They may not be so great defensively but Klopp has so worked the system to cover up for that so they don't have to worry about that for now. Together they've won the Premier league title after a long wait and also won the champions league too.

Nemanja Vidic & Rio Ferdinand – Manchester United

No Manchester united fan will forget about this iconic partnership in a hurry. They were the foundation for the success of the dominant Manchester united we used to know.
Ferdinand was already established defender in the Premier league while Vidic could be said to be the best January signing of Man united. The pair propelled Manchester united to become one of the most fearsome side in football.
They played together for eight seasons and amassed a Total of 21 trophies including a champions league title in 2008 while also getting runner up positions twice.
