My favorite playmakers: Top 5

Most football fans will quickly pour out praise on those who score the goals that get the win for the team regardless of the performance of the player in question. Score goals and get the praise. They are quick to forget that it was someone who actually worked out the ball in their favor, someone actually brave and unselfish to carefully and precisely lay the ball onto the path of the goal scorers.

This post is an appreciation one for all the playmakers who had been unselfish enough to pass unto their teammates for a goal. Here is a small list of my favorite playmakers starting from the least loved to my most loved playmaker.

5. Ozil

This guy divides opinion amongst fans, he's not the most hardworking of players but has a magical left boot and is also technically gifted too. His assits stats tell a good story of what he's capable of. When he left Real Madrid, Ronaldo complained bitter as he claimed that Ozil was the one who understands him best. He didn't stop creating magic while at arsenal too and just fell short of breaking the all time assists record set by the legend, Thierry Henry.

Some of my friends have nicknamed him to be "FabrePASS". This guys passes were excellent and how he manages to see those runs made by his teammates is what I cant imagine. Remember the 2010 world cup where Iniesta took all the praise for scoring the winning goal but it was actually Fabregas who took up the ball and spotted the run of his teammate and layed that beautiful pass to him. His exploits was felt across Europe in the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Barcelona. He could sit deep as well as play close to the strikers.

Kevin De Bruyne has to be the most complete attacking midfielder you could wish for now. He's good with both feet and could shoot as well as lay beautiful passes that just leaves you in awe of this guy. Chelsea must have regretted letting him go back then now he's become a master of the art of passing. He's good at finding spaces in-between the defense lines and mostly operated from the half spaces in-between the full backs and center backs. He was able to equal the all time tally of assits set by the legend Thierry Henry. Look at his most recent pass to Marez when they ran riot against Manchester united. Amazing.

Talk of complete attackers and call this guy. He's the Goat of football as its stands. A mesmerizing dribbler able to not only find space but create one with his dribbling. When one hears of this guy, they hear of his amazing goal records and of a truth his goal tally is not something that can be overlooked. He's not just a goal machine but one who creates goals for others, not by chance but by beautifully laid passes. He's one creative force to reckon with. One time while at Barca, he managed to top both the goals and assits chart in la Liga and he's currently topping the assists chart in Ligue 1.

This is my favorite playmaker on this list. I just love this guy and I'm not just being bias but look at his incredible passing range, its accuracy personified. He's body carriage is amazing for a man that size, with quick tricky feet as well as speed needed for the game in times of counter attacks. I just love how he manages to pull off those passes of his, he loves going over the top and long. You want to see him at his utmost best then go to the France national team.
