He said it in every interview for the last 5 years, in Tokyo, he would go for the gold in the mountain bike race. He did everything possible for that goal. And then disaster strikes after 10 minutes in the race. A misjudged jump of a big boulder made him crash hard.
Game over for a five year old dream, after ten minutes, a mental crash even worse than the physical one.
