Football without spectators is pointless...

Bundesliga back into play

This weekend football started again in the German Bundesliga. Without spectators, with social distancing on the bench, players on the bench with face masks and no celebrations after scoring a goal, at least not together.

The games were played but after watching them I was really gutted. It’s just not the same game. The tension is not there, the intense feeling is missing...

A geistesspiel or ghost game is what the Germans call it. Sad, I guess we’ll have to get used to it!

I do have mixed feelings about it! I did enjoy watching some of the games, but yes the absense of supporters does decrease the overall enjoyment a little bit.
But as a sports addict, this is better than nothing!
