Family trip to Samobor - My Actifit Report Card: April 11 2023
Hello everyone! Pozdrav svima!
Today we took a little trip to town called Samobor. It was just 20 minutes ride since we live on the west edge of Zagreb and Samobor is the first town west of us.
It's a beautiful small town with a population less then 40,000 people. The town centre is beautifully arranged and it was still full of Easter decorations.
We took a nice walk through the town centre with the kids running around admiring the beautifully painted eggs that were on display all over the place.
They even put up a small house with Easter bunnies decorated with flowers, meant as a spot for taking photos.
Located right in the town centre is an old church that dates all the way from 13th century, but rebuilt in 17th century and kept it's looks ever since.
Town centre is full of nice little coffee shops, pastry shops and restaurants.
After our walk we took the kids for some cakes. They were so excited and we all had a great time. Walking back to our car we passed by the stream that flows right through the middle of the town.
There are houses that are connected to other houses across the stream with little bridges, which kind of reminds me of Venice (not that is comparable in any way, of course).
Kids were, of course, most thrilled about the ducks swimming in the stream. 😍
Very nice afternoon in the end. Such a shame it was so cloudy and windy so we had to cut it a bit short.
