Today's steps are from bringing a few more loads of stuff over to the new apartment, and going grocery shopping. :) We are getting there, making the new place a home, but my legs are DONE for tonight, lol.

Picture is Maggie's shadowbox that I made which finally has a spot. The watercolor of her is still sitting in the old apartment. As I said, getting there... ;)

Hey, just came to catch up with you and the move as I'm not on Hive too much at the moment (work and life). It looks like the move is going pretty well, given how much hard (mental and emotional as well as physical) work it is. It also struck me as quite exciting, I loved looking at the pictures of an empty flat. Impressed that Maggie finally used the button, too - that was a long, slow wait! Can't help feeling she got it the whole time, anyway, and was just playing around with us. Take it easy and enjoy your new home 😍

Good to see you! I hope everything is well with you.
It is, simultaneously exciting and a lot of work! LOL. As many things in life are.
And yeah, she totally understood the button - if I pressed it when she was meowing but sititng, she'd stand up in preparation of being picked up. Right now it is in the same location in relation to the bed, but I'm contemplating if after being here a while she doesn't press it more, possibly mounting it to the wall so maybe she can rub on it/lean on it instead. I was wondering if maybe she doesn't like to touch it with her paws - every press has been with other body parts - and that's been the issue all along. There are smaller, lighter buttons that some people on the message boards who are doing this with cats say their cats prefer, so I can try those too eventually.
