Fun Run Disaster and Cooperative General Assembly

Hello everyone 😁 how was your day today? I am back once again to report on my actifit activity today yay 😁

A few days ago I saw this advertisement on facebook about a fun run that was hosted by my high school alma matter, Sibonga National High School. The fun run was scheduled today at 4:30AM as clearly shown in the image above. So yesterday I went to sleep quite early, probably around 8PM, so I can wake up at 3AM which I have set my alarm to. I didn't want to be late so I can still get pictures, hopefully some good ones, during this event.

As planned I woke up at 3AM, I still had time so I prepared the things that I need to bring along and went out. Before I went to the starting place for the fun run though I made a little detour in a small bakeshop which operates 24 hours a day. I bought 4 pcs of bread to eat coz I was super duper hungry.

After eating the bread that I bought I went straight to the Sibonga Economic Sports Complex or what we call "OVAL" here... If you're gonna ask me why we call this place "OVAL" then don't coz I also don't know 😂 we just call it that ever since the world began 🤣

Anyways when I arrived at the place it was empty as heck. I do understand that I was a little early coz I arrived there at 3:30AM which was an hour early than the 4:30 run schedule but I think they should have come early to prepare right? Still I just chilled around the stage where they put these tarps of the fun run.

Okay maybe I misunderstood the time but doesn't the poster mean the fun run will start at 4:30AM? Why the heck are the participants just came in around 4:30AM 😅 I waited there for an hour before the first ever signs of life came to the stage and a few minutes after that people came in hordes lol 😅

Around 5AM there were already a lot of people gathered in the starting place but the start of the race is nowhere to be seen. I mean I don't think the fun run will start anytime soon coz the teachers are still paging students telling them what to do or simply calling them out to form a line depending on their year/grade level. By this time I was already getting annoyed coz it's already 5AM which is 30 minutes late from the scheduled 4:30AM fun run.

Around 5:30AM is when I decided to just go to somewhere else coz I doubt this race will ever start soon. I can already see the sun trying to rise so I went to see the sun rise instead of wasting my time there listening to the teachers complaining coz the students were not listening 😅

I've heard that they started around 6:15AM and ended around 7AM... So much for the 4:30 schedule 😅 Lucky I didn't stay there to kill myseld with boredom 😥. I can't blame them though since it was their first time hosting a fun run event. Still they should learn to go by schedules next time 😅

When I arrived at our old wharf the sun was obviously gonna rise soon and my hunch is right on the money...

In just around 10 minutes the sun has finally shown itself for all the people who were in the old wharf to enjoy. Many people took pictures of the sun and not only me 😍

I continued my walk for another few minutes, probably around 10 to 20 minutes. I decided to move to the tennis court where I usually do my walks since it was already getting a little bit hotter and the sun is already quite high above the horizon.

When I arrived at the tennis court though... I saw these group of motorcycle riders parking in our tennis court. I've learned by asking some basic question that they were there to plant some mangrove trees 😍 I thought they were doing a group joy ride to somewhere or maybe an endurance test for their motorcycles. I continued on with my walk till 7AM struck and I decided to go home since there is still one more event for me to attend...

Today was also my cooperatives 29th General Assembly as seen in the photo above. It really has been a year since this is my 2nd time blogging about our General Assembly lol

Just like last years 28th General Assembly our function hall was packed with our cooperative members. You might notice though is that our function hall is not close and air conditioned. They've upgraded the function hall to make it more appealing to people who would want to rent this place for medium to semi-huge events.

The proceedings of our general assembly this year or every year for that matter is the same so instead of just repeating it all over again you can just read it here

This is also the reason why I couldn't do my afternoon ride today because I am honestly quite tired sitting all day long 🤣 Anyways guys this is all for today's report... See you again tomorrow (Hopefully)
