Happy Sunday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world. Hopefully you are enjoying your weekend, my day has been great and am grateful 💯. It's now that time to slow down and get ready for bed 💤. As for the walking, I began my day with the fast paced morning session brisk walking and jogging around the neighborhood. It was a chilly morning, the weather around here has changed. I don't remember August being this cold, this is July weather still lingering on. It's always winter in June and July. Anyways I had my second walk around the city center later in the afternoon, taking pictures of the skaters down there. Then I grabbed some fast food for dinner before heading back home. I had my nap and then had my evening walk later on.
So what's trending on the media? Locally, Kenya still on tenterhooks as we wait for the announcement of the results of the presidential election😱. Hopefully it will come tomorrow.
Globally, trending in Egypt, tragedy as 41 people, mostly children died in a church fire😢 caused by an electric fault. Another tradegy in a market in Yerevan, Armenia as explosions caused death and destruction. Apparently fireworks had been stored in some of the shops and they fueled a huge fire. My sincere condolences to the bereaved families😢. Elsewhere in Pakistan, different kind of fireworks as they celebrated the 75th independence anniversary. From across the pond in the US, Salman Rushdie was taken off the ventilator, he can now talk and is on his way to a recovery👏. Remember he was stabbed severally by a deranged young man a few days ago.
